Someone once pointed out that I was a people pleaser, and that night, I really reflected on my actions and words. The next day, I woke up and chose to live differently. I’m not perfect, and I might never be, but I’ve learned how to give and receive freedom, no judgment, and how to politely and respectfully say no when something doesn’t serve me. The people who truly get it are my real friends and family. The ones who don’t? It’s not my job to change their minds.
