Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award winner Ellen Burstyn stars in the season finale of The Lovely Dark podcast.

Ms. Burstyn's huge and luminous career speaks for itself. And of course, we have our own lengthy list of thrilling performances that we love best. Yes, her Oscar-winning performance in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, and the Emmy winning turn on Political Animals, but there are so many brilliant performances in the constellation of Ms. Burstyn’s career. And our producer is still absolutely in awe of her performance in Little Flower of East Orange, with Labyrinth Theater Company in New York City.

We are incredibly proud and grateful to Ms. Burstyn for being part of The Lovely Dark, and for leading the cast of our season finale.

Hedia is a writer, filmmaker, actor. She is an Iranian-born New Yorker transplanted to Los Angeles. Her essays and fiction have been published in literary magazines and online, including "I Just Want to be Perfect," the fourth installment of the New York Times bestselling series. Her piece “How to Build an Intellectual” was named a Notable in The Best American Essays of 2019.

Hedia has written and directed several short films, which have won awards and become finalists in several competitions and festivals.
