The E.U. wants firms to upgrade allocations & confirmations by December 2026, a deadline that will spur middle- and back-office overhauls: https://shorturl.at/pQJ8W

The European Union’s broader shift to a T+1 settlement cycle is officially slated for October 11, 2027. However, for middle- and back-office operations ESMA T+1 settlement requirements give firms until Dec. 7, 2026, to overhaul allocations and confirmations ahead of Europe's 2027 move to T+1.

U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Paul Atkins has signaled that the commission intends to take direct control of the Consolidated Audit Trail, with a restructuring plan and a transition that won't be complete until late 2027.
