*Quiz Competitions Held Across Bandipora under Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign*

Bandipora, August 9: As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign, the District Administration Bandipora organised quiz competitions at various educational institutions across the district on Sunday, with active participation of students and teaching staff.

The quiz competitions were held at Iqbal Memorial Secondary School, Ajas; Government Higher Secondary School, Ajas; RP School, Nadihal; Noori Illahi Secondary School, Asham Sumbal; GHSS Dawar, Gurez; HS Buglandar; BHS Onagam; HSS Mantrigam; HSS Aloosa and other participating institutions.

The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, with quiz rounds focusing on themes related to India’s freedom struggle, national symbols, patriotic values and the country’s rich national heritage. At Noori Illahi Secondary School, Asham Sumbal, students participated in four teams named after prominent freedom fighters.

The activities provided students an engaging platform to enhance their knowledge about the nation’s history and freedom movement while promoting patriotism, unity and a sense of national pride among the younger generation.

The quiz competitions formed part of the district-wide Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 celebrations, being observed from August 9 to 17. The campaign is being organised with a range of patriotic and public-participation activities across the district in connection with the 150-year commemoration of “Vande Mataram”, encouraging people, particularly youth and students, to connect with the country’s national spirit and heritage.

Bandipora, August 9: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Bandipora, organised a mega ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Tiranga Rally at Guzerbal as part of the ongoing campaign to promote the spirit of patriotism, national unity and pride in the Tricolour.

A large number of students and youth enthusiastically participated in the rally, carrying the National Flag (Tiranga) and raising patriotic slogans. The rally witnessed vibrant participation from students, officials and sports personnel, creating an atmosphere of national pride and unity.

The rally aimed to sensitise the younger generation about the significance of the National Flag and encourage active participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The participants marched through the designated route carrying the Tricolour with great enthusiasm and respect.

The event stressed the importance of nurturing patriotism, unity, discipline and a sense of national responsibility among the younger generation.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment from the participants to uphold the honour of the National Flag and spread the message of “Har Ghar Tiranga” across the community.

*DC Bandipora Reviews Preparations for Har Ghar Tiranga 2026; District to Witness Expanded Patriotic Activities*

Bandipora, August 8: The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Bandipora, to review preparations for Har Ghar Tiranga 2026, scheduled to be observed across the district from August 9 to 17.

The Deputy Commissioner discussed an expanded programme for this year, with greater participation from various departments and sections of society. The celebrations, dedicated to the 150-year commemoration of “Vande Mataram,” would feature a range of patriotic and public-participation activities across the district, aimed at honouring its enduring place in the country’s national spirit and encouraging people to participate in the celebrations.

During the meeting, it was informed that the campaign would feature a wide range of activities, including Tiranga rallies, cultural programmes, patriotic song and quiz competitions, painting and wall-painting activities, exhibitions and “Selfie with Tiranga” initiatives. Exhibitions would be organised by schools and colleges, ITIs and Polytechnics, while sub-divisional and tehsil-level Tiranga rallies would also be conducted across the district.

The Deputy Commissioner laid particular emphasis on wider participation from the Education, Sports, Health and ICDS sectors. Separate rallies involving ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers would also be organised.

It was informed that a major Tiranga Rally would be held on August 12, jointly by the Police and District Administration, from Mini Secretariat Bandipora to the Stadium. The DC directed all concerned departments to ensure that all necessary arrangements were put in place well in advance, with adequate attention to the safety and convenience of participants. Participants from JNV, KV, NCC, tribal communities, national achievers and others would also take part in colourful traditional attire.

The meeting also reviewed arrangements for event creation and timely uploading of activities on the designated portal. The DC directed all departments to designate nodal officers for their respective activities and ensure close coordination for the smooth conduct of the campaign.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the District Information Officer, Bandipora, to facilitate Public Address System and banners and undertake a dedicated social media campaign to highlight the district’s activities under Har Ghar Tiranga 2026.

The Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign, from August 9 to 17, would provide an opportunity for people across Bandipora to participate in activities dedicated to the spirit of patriotism and the 150-year commemoration of “Vande Mataram.” A Swachhta campaign along with Tiranga rallies would also form part of the celebrations.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Nazir Ahmad Mir; Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl; Additional Superintendent of Police Bandipora; Assistant Commissioner Revenue; Assistant Commissioner Development; Assistant Commissioner Panchayats; and district officers from various departments.
