Trump just declared war on… movies. Not kidding.
In his latest plot twist, Donald Trump’s slapped a 100% tariff on foreign films. Why? Because he says Hollywood is dying and foreign studios are to blame. Apparently, letting other countries make movies is now a “national security threat.” 💀
So yeah—your fave foreign flicks? About to cost as much as a front-row Beyoncé ticket.
According to Trump, the U.S. film industry’s getting “attacked” and needs saving—by force, if necessary. He’s gone full cinema commando, handing power to the Department of Commerce to block imported films with sky-high tariffs.
His solution? Tax the hell out of anything not Made in ‘Murica™. Even Netflix might get dragged into this.
And China? They’re already clapping back, cutting the number of U.S. films allowed into their country.
It’s not a trade war anymore—it’s a popcorn massacre 🍿🔪
