YouTube is still a well-liked place to watch videos, listen to music, and follow your favorite content creators. All users can access the video sharing and streaming platform's ad-supported version for free. However, you would need to subscribe to YouTube Premium for an ad-free experience if you wanted to watch videos on the platform without any interruptions. To continue watching YouTube without adverts, a lot of users, however, opted not to pay for a subscription and instead to use ad-blockers, which are free but effective. It appears like this is coming to an end. Although YouTube had already started testing limits on ad blockers, it has now initiated “a global effort” to target ad blocking extensions, forcing users to either enable advertisements on YouTube or subscribe to YouTube Premium.
