Karnataka has rolled out a bold move: a statewide ₹200 cap on movie ticket prices, across all theatres and languages, inclusive of taxes.

From premium IMAX experiences to single screens—everything will now have the same price ceiling.

🔍 Why it matters:

🎟️ Aims to boost affordability and revive footfalls, especially for Kannada films.

💼 However, multiplex chains like PVR-Inox could face a 2.2% revenue dip and a hit on premium formats (IMAX, 4DX).

🧾 F&B, branding, and digital ambient experiences may now become key revenue levers.
