If traders and manufacturers practice any illegal trade, this act protects their rights as a consumer. The primary motivation of this forum is to bestow aid to both the parties and eliminate lengthy lawsuits.
This Protection Act covers all goods and services of all public, private, or cooperative sectors, except those exempted by the central government. The act provides a platform for a consumer where they can file their complaint, and the forum takes action against the concerned supplier and compensation is granted to the consumer for the hassle he/she has encountered.

The Bill intends to “create a facilitative framework for the creation of the official digital currency to be issued by the Reserve Bank of India”. The Bill also seeks to “prohibit all private cryptocurrencies in India; however, it allows for certain exceptions to promote the underlying technology of cryptocurrency and its uses.” This would be India’s first step towards regulating cryptocurrency.

🔲General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) is a regulatory framework on data protection in the European Union.

🔳That should mean that all the businesses who are based in the EU have to comply with it, right?

❓Then why does Disney as a US based company comply with it?

🔸If the product or service is offered within the EU, then the data processing needs to comply with the GDPR, whether or not the company is physically located there or not.

🔹That goes for both physical and online goods, from ordering a pair of sneakers to purchasing movies for streaming.

🔶Disney provides online stores as well as streaming services as products in EU, hence they also need to comply with GDPR.

🔹Disney’s Privacy Policy is one of the best examples of GDPR compliance. The two main compliances highlighted in the reel are :

💠Appointment of a Data Protection Officer(DPO): The role of a DPO is to ensure that the organisation is in compliance with data protection rules.

💠Right to be forgotten/ Right to erasure: The person whose data is being processed has the right to take their consent back and ask the organisation to delete their data and the organisation has to comply without any undue delay (before 30 days).

📌PLEASE NOTE: This is not an absolute right. Article 17 of GDPR outlines specific circumstances under which such a right applies.

Is it legal to feed stray dogs?
Yes.✅
🔖 Infact, it is one of our FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES under Article 51(g) of the Indian constitution 🖋
Can society by-laws or neighbors stop you?
NO!❌

📍Feeding stray dogs is legal both within and outside any society.💕 🐶

‼️What is prohibited is threatening dog feeders from carrying out their essential obligation under Article 51A(g) of the Constitution of India. 🚷

💠The Animal Welfare Board of India has issued extensive guidelines on feeding stray dogs, and there have been numerous judicial decisions protecting dog feeders and caretakers who face the wrath of ill-informed neighbours. ⚖️

📌Interfering with or harassing anyone who chooses to care for and feed community dogs is criminal intimidation, as defined by Section 503 read with Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code. 📖

Since dividend is recognized as a form of income, there is tax imposed on it.

Double taxation of income first, in the hands of the companies and thereafter in the hands of the
shareholders on distribution as dividend is prevalent worldwide.

The Dividend Distribution Tax (DDT) regime was introduced in 1997, wherein the dividend income in the hands of the shareholders was exempted, however, the companies were supposed to pay the DDT at flat rate.

The sole purpose of introducing this system was to ease the collection of tax on dividend income. However, DDT led to double taxation for foreign investors and increased cost of doing business in India.

In the 2020 budget, DDT was removed and the burden of tax was now shifted upon the shareholders.
