The programme commenced with a safety pledge, followed by discussions on the principles that guide day-to-day operations. An interactive Q&A session encouraged employees to share ideas, discuss operational challenges and contribute suggestions for continuous improvement.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has completed approximately 90% of the Mahalaxmi Multimodal Connectivity Project, which will feature India's first travellator-equipped skywalk. The 283-metre-long integrated pedestrian bridge will seamlessly connect the Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk Monorail Station, Metro Line 3 and Mahalaxmi Suburban Railway Station, significantly improving passenger convenience and reducing transfer time by nearly 20 minutes.

Designed to handle up to 4,500 passengers per hour, the skywalk includes six travellators spanning a combined length of 176 metres, two passenger lifts for universal accessibility, and an 11-metre-wide walkway. The project was executed without felling a single tree despite being constructed in one of Mumbai's most utility-congested corridors, highlighting MMRDA's commitment to sustainable and efficient infrastructure development. Once operational, the project will strengthen multimodal connectivity, encourage greater public transport usage, and enhance the daily commute for thousands of Mumbai residents.

HYUNDAI ELEVATOR has announced that all of its executives have collectively purchased approximately KRW1 billion (US$668,395) worth of the company's treasury shares, demonstrating confidence in its long-term growth strategy and corporate value.

Schindler Group has announced strong financial and operational results for the first half of 2026, with its new modular product platform driving growth in new elevator installations outside China, particularly across Europe.

The Switzerland-headquartered company said its continued focus on disciplined, profitable growth resulted in a solid operating performance during the six months ended June 30. CEO Paolo Compagna noted that the results reinforce the strength of Schindler's long-term strategy and position the company to continue delivering value to its customers, employees and shareholders.

For the first half of 2026, Schindler reported a net profit of CHF542 million (US$667.3 million), representing 10.2% of revenue, while cash flow from operating activities reached CHF617 million (US$759.7 million).

The company also celebrated several milestones beyond its financial performance. The Schindler X8 elevator for new and renovated buildings received both the Red Dot and iF Design Awards, while Fortune and Statista recognized Schindler as one of Europe's Most Innovative Companies.

Looking ahead, Schindler expects low- to mid-digit growth for 2026, supported by continued momentum in its modular product platform and ongoing ex*****on of its long-term growth strategy.
