Why do our biggest posters belong to politicians, while the people building India’s future remain almost invisible?

China has been putting scientists such as Qian Xuesen, Tu Youyou and Yuan Longping on public screens and celebrating them as national icons.

Meanwhile, Bengaluru — India’s space hub — is facing reports of around 80 scientists leaving ISRO. The reported exits have also raised concerns around retaining talent working on critical missions, including Gaganyaan.

Most of us can instantly recognise political faces plastered across Bengaluru’s junctions, banners and hoardings.

But can we name even a few scientists behind India’s biggest space and scientific achievements?

Maybe it’s time to rethink who deserves our biggest posters, our attention and our respect.

The next generation should grow up knowing the people building India’s future — not just the people asking for their votes. 🚀🇮🇳

Bengaluru traffic has apparently forced a rethink of the Airport Flyover bike ban. 🏍️🚗

Bikes are reportedly being allowed again after heavy traffic congestion on the roads below created a major problem for commuters.

The restriction was introduced with safety in mind, but pushing thousands of two-wheelers onto alternative roads reportedly led to more congestion, slower movement and longer travel times.

And this raises a simple question:

Was the impact on ground-level traffic properly studied before the restriction was implemented?

Safety matters. But if one rule creates another major traffic problem, the solution needs to be reassessed.

Bengaluru needs traffic policies that work not just on paper, but during peak-hour reality. 🚦

A child should never have to face this kind of danger.

A six-year-old girl was reportedly sexually assaulted in Bangarpet, Kolar district, after she went to a nearby shop. Police have arrested the accused, according to reports.

The incident has once again raised serious questions about child safety and prevention.

Police data reportedly shows that 15,578 POCSO cases involving minor girls were registered in Karnataka between January 2021 and July 2026 — highlighting the scale of the challenge facing the state.

Arrests are necessary, but prevention, accountability and stronger protection for children matter just as much.

A six-year-old should be thinking about school, friends and childhood — not facing sexual violence.

Child safety cannot become important only after a case makes headlines.

Can a government job allegedly be bought for ₹40 lakh? The KPSC exam scam allegations are raising serious questions about the recruitment system. 💰⚠️

The case involves the recruitment of 400 veterinary officers through KPSC. According to police-linked reports, some candidates allegedly discussed deals ranging from ₹40 lakh to ₹80 lakh, while earlier complaints alleged that some posts were being offered for even higher amounts.

Candidates who reportedly approached the CID alleged that they received the question paper before the exam and were made to write it at separate locations, including a villa in Devanahalli. Investigators are also probing alleged OMR-sheet manipulation and unusually high marks.

An FIR reportedly names suspended KPSC chairman Shivashankarappa Sahukar, other officials and 29 selected candidates. IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar, who was KPSC Controller of Examinations during the period under investigation, has also been arrested by the CID.

An alleged middleman was reportedly arrested at Delhi airport while attempting to leave for Uzbekistan.

These are allegations under investigation, not proof of guilt. But the bigger question remains: what about the students who studied for years and trusted the system?

Every student preparing honestly for a government job deserves a fair chance.

Bikers, think twice before planning that “last ride” to the airport. 🏍️⚠️

Several bikes were reportedly seized last night after riders headed towards the airport for an emotional final ride on the flyover before the restriction kicks in.

For many bikers, it was supposed to be one last memory with friends. But that farewell reportedly ended with police action and bike seizures.

The emotion is understandable, but getting your bike seized is definitely not the memory you want to take home. 😬

So if you're planning to go there just for a final ride, photo, or meetup, think twice and avoid unnecessary risks.

Bengaluru, double-check your cash. 💵⚠️

Police have arrested seven people after raiding an under-construction house in Ramanagara on August 31, allegedly uncovering a counterfeit currency operation involving around ₹5 lakh worth of fake notes.

According to police, special paper bundles were allegedly being treated with chemicals, cut to currency-note sizes and sent elsewhere, where the counterfeit notes were reportedly completed.

Police also seized chemicals and other materials allegedly linked to the operation. Investigators say Sampath was allegedly running the operation, while house owner Santhosh is accused of providing the property in exchange for commission.

Authorities are now investigating whether more people are connected to the network.

If you're handling large amounts of cash, take a moment to check your notes carefully. 👀

IT professionals, this is your reminder to stay prepared.

Oracle is reportedly planning another 7,000–10,000 job cuts, adding to the 21,000 jobs it has already eliminated over the 12 months ending May 31.

And Oracle isn’t alone.

Amazon has confirmed around 30,000 corporate job cuts across two rounds, Meta has cut about 10% of its workforce, and Microsoft recently announced another 4,800 job cuts.

The exact impact on Oracle’s Indian workforce is still unclear, but the broader trend is worth paying attention to.
