People's Hut Foundation in collaboration with the Indian Army conducted a “Free Medical Camp” at Government High School Sarote, Jammu and was supported by Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity Jammu. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Ramesh Kumar Bhan (HM of GHS Sarote) and the main aim of conducting this medical camp was to provide essential free health care services to the villagers.

The medical camp themed “Mobile Health Clinic Program” saw an overwhelming participation where 348 patients availed the free services from the camp. In addition to medical consultation in Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Dentistry,Physiotherapy, Pathology, General medicine, Oncology, Clinical Psychology the camp also provided free Allopathic and Ayush Medicines along with basic health screening and awareness about Nutrition, Hygiene and preventive care.

The Directorate of Ayush also participated in the camp and was represented by Medical Officers Dr. Dheeraj Raina,Dr. Sushil Kumar Bhat and Dr. Supriya Thakur along with other Ayush Staff. The medical camp provided medical services to the villagers which lacked basic medical facilities . A special ECHS service camp for the people and nearby villages was also organized by Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity under the guidance of Dr. Harmeet Singh, MD - Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity and Group Director Ujala Cygnus Emergency and Trauma in collaboration with People’s Hut Foundation It received a great response from the ex Serviceman.

Kanwal Krishan Peshin awarded “Plaque Meritorious Service”



Shri Kanwal Krishan Peshin I/C Divisional Fire Officer Jammu awarded with “Plaque Meritorious Service” by Resolvio Foundation which is a National Organisation of Repute. Kanwal who was initially appointed as Fireman and subsequently elevated to higher ranks from time to time, is a well-trained and professional fire fighter and has been performing exemplary service.

His flight to success has been because of his hard work and dedication in the field of fire fighting, fire auditing, search and rescue operations and public awareness regarding fire safety. He has attended a number of major fire incidents in life staking situations as a brave firefighter and with professional competence. The officer has supervised a number of major fire incidents where both life and property was involved and as a leader has derived mechanism on the operational grounds in such a way to counter these fires and save precious lives and property.

The officer was awarded as a recognition to his bravely by the Director of Resolvio Foundation, Mr. Suresh Kumar where in the fire incident he saved many lives during a fire fighting operation at Cold Storage factory wherein Ammonia Gas was leaking his brave efforts not only rescued the general public from the area but also the factory workers and owners from the devastating scene on May 14 2024.

Director of the Resolvio Foundation Sh. Suresh Kumar added that the officer along with discharging his normal duties additionally conducted fire auditing of various leading industrial occupancies besides as a part of public awareness programme has conducted Lectures, Essay Competitions, Mock drills, Evacuation drills in educational and other institutions. The officer has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance by way of effective management of the rescue/fire fighting operations, Exceptional teamwork and collaboration with other emergency responders during Amar Nath Ji Yatra, VIP visits etc. The officer, as a part of Public Awareness, has also written jingles and theme songs for promotion of the Fire & Emergency Services Department.

January 12, Jammu: Preserving art, culture and language, the artists of "Kashir Kalakaar Season-7" mesmerised audience with their stunning performances at Invitation Banquet Hall Roop Nagar Jammu, here today.The grand finale of this musical gala was organised by the "Athrot Cultural Foundation" and was supported by "Kashmiri Pandit Volunteers" "People’s Hut Foundation", "Martand KP Brigade" and "Sabhar Cultural and welfare trust". In senior (Singing) category, Nirmit Raina was declared 1st, Shruti and Daksh were adjudged second, Lavanya and Suhas Koul got third prize.The Chief Guest and other dignitaries honoured the winners and runners-up artists in various categories.
Apart from trophies and certificates, the winners were honoured by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries with cash awards and scholarships from Hindu Society LA, additional cash award of Rs 3000, 2000 and 1000 was presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders respectively to audience choice award winners. As an encouragement to these young community kids an amount of Rs. 5000 was given by Kirti Dhar from Shine India JK . The event was adjudicated by a panel of experts including Dr.Ramesh Nirash and Sandeep Koul Sunny who himself presented a wonderful song "Assi Chi Kunni Awaz" with Children as a special performance and message to the community.
The event was held under the overall supervision of Athrot team headed by Abhimanyu Peshin, Deeraj Pandit and Ayush Bhat. Jammu, January 10, 2025: To acknowledge the achievements of deserving doctors of the medical community, Peoples Hut Foundation in collaboration with Diva International Foundation organised the First Edition of Vishisht Swasthya Sewa Sammaan Puruskar 2024 in Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir’s leading National NGO People’s Hut Foundation announced the awardees of ‘Vishisht Swasthya Sewa Sammaan Puruskar 2024’ at GMC Jammu. An impressive gathering comprising who’s who of the healthcare industry besides distinguished guests witnessed the Awards ceremony held in Jammu.



The People’s Hut Foundation organised the star-studded award ceremony to celebrate the merit of deserving professionals as well as give due regard to the values and morals which these distinguished awardees exemplify, such as care, compassion and empathy for their patients and also showcased the commitment that the healthcare achievers. As awards are a great way to encourage excellence, People’s Hut Foundation in collaboration with Diva International Foundation organised these prestigious awards to acknowledge the good work being done in the field of healthcare. The winners of the event have not only made their profession proud, but brought accolades to the nation at the global level.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Ashotosh Gupta, Principal and Dean Government Medical College Jammu as the Chief Guest, Dr. A.S Bhatia, Principal Government College Rajouri and Controller of Examination, J&K Paramedical Council as the Guest of Honour.



The event began with a Welcome address by Dr. Rohit Koul Director and C.E.O of People’s Hut Foundation where he welcomed all the dignitaries and awardees. A session on “Importance of Values and Ethics in Healthcare Profession” was taken by Dr. Priyanka Koushal who is a Registrar in the Department of Surgery, GMC Jammu. Another session was taken by Dr. Vikas Padha who is a Senior Joint Replacement Surgeon at SMVD Naryana Hospital Katra where he briefed about “How can Healthcare Professionals support Humanitarian Workers working in the domain of Healthcare” This was followed by an immaculate award ceremony that honoured doctors for their dedicated services in social service and health sectors.

The awardees of “Vishisht Swasthya Sewa Sammaan Puruskar 2024” included Dr. Priyanka Koushal, Dr. Sreejan Sharma, Dr. Sawant Singh, Dr. Sanjogita Soodan, Dr. Sumedha Mengi, Dr. Vikas Padha, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Dr. Harleen Kaur, Dr. Meena Sidhu and Dr. Ishan Koushal who were extremely happy and joyous at the recognition of their efforts and hard work at such a prestigious level.

Jammu 30 Dec:Today Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner(M) J&K released two Kashmiri Bhajans produced by Athrot Cultural Foundation and dedicated to the Mata Kheer Bhawani (Kul Devi of Kashmiri Pandits) the Bhajans have been sung by Kanwal Peshin who got inspired from his late father Pt Janki Nath Peshin who used to sing these bhajans "Dodhharki Pyale Baryey" and "Shur Chuss Meaj Bhawani" written by Pt. Jia Lal Saraf at the divine place of Mata Kheer Bhawani. The music and Video have been arranged by Ravi Dhar owner of Vitasta Music Production. The Hon'ble Relief Commissioner along with D.C Relief Vijay Sharma while releasing the Bhajans praised the phenomenal work of Athrot Cultural Foundation headed by R.K Pandita and Abhimanyu Peshin. The Bhajans were released in presence of Muktesh Yogi , Socio-Political Activist, Advisor toTeam Athrot and Dr. Rohit Koul, Director and CEO of Peoples Hut Foundation. Kanwal Peshin presented traditional Kenzi Khoas to the Dr Arvind Karwani RRCM as a cultural symbol of the Kashmiri Pandit community

The Bhajans are available across the globe on Athrot Productions YouTube channel and The Modern Kashmiri Pandits page while releasing the bhajans other guests greeted the Chief Guest a Bouquet was presented by Muktesh Yogi, Dr. Rohit Koul presented a Kashmiri shawl to the chief Guest for the grand success in conducting Kheer Bhawani yatra this year. DC Relief Vijay Sharma said J&K has no dearth of talent but the only need is to identify and polish it by expert hands. He hoped that the devotional songs released today will inspire young artists in the kashmiri pandit community to explore their hidden talent and make their niche in the society.

RAMGARH : Bharatiya Janata Party Samba celebrated Constitution Day today in honor of the adoption of India’s Constitution in 1949. The event emphasized the core values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity that the Constitution upholds.

On the occasion , students from various schools in Ramgarh came together to organize a rally that celebrated the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution and promoted awareness about their rights and responsibilities. The rally, which began at Tehsil Office Chowk and concluded at Rishi Farms, featured colorful posters and playcards, with students delivering inspiring speeches on the importance of democracy, equality, and justice. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the Constitution, emphasizing the role of youth in shaping a stronger and more inclusive future for the community.

The occasion was marked by a tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Constitution, and focused on the importance of civic engagement in building a democratic and inclusive society.

The celebration was organized by MLA Ramgarh and BJP General Secretary Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal.• Amar Singh, BJP District President of Samba and MLA Samba, Surjit Singh Slathia, MLA Vijaypur, Chander Parkash Ganga were also present . Other attending the ceremony included Asha Rani, DDC Rajpura, Shilpa Dubey DDC Vijaypur, Sarbjit Singh Johal, DDC Ramgarh B, Anita Chaudhary, DDC Ramgarh C, Former Chairman BDC Radhay Shyam, Ramesh Chander DDC Samba Shilpa Subey DDC and Mandal Pardhan Shiv Kumar Chaudhary.

In his address, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal General Secretary and MLA Ramgarh, highlighted Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's monumental contributions to India’s Constitution. He emphasized the importance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision in ensuring equal rights for all citizens, particularly in the areas of social justice and empowerment of marginalized communities. Dr. Manyal urged everyone to remember the significance of the Constitution and work towards strengthening democratic values in our society.

The event saw strong participation from local leaders and citizens, reiterating the importance of unity and inclusivity in the development of the nation.
