We’re officially selected!

Teepoi is thrilled to share that its short documentary "Waste and the City - The Mavallipura Story" has been officially selected for the (ALT EFF) 2025 All Living Things Environmental Film Festival - ALT EFF

This story, born out of observation, listening, and a commitment to the planet we all call home, finds a space among films that echo the urgency and beauty of environmental consciousness. Environment Support Group (ESG) supported the local community of Mavallipura to stand for their rights for over two decades. Thanks to Leo Saldanha and Bhargavi Rao for trusting us to tell this story of a confluence of research, people power and justice.

The project was initiated by Environment Support Group and backed by the K2A small grants by Swissnex in India.

A huge thank you to the ALT EFF team for creating a platform that celebrates voices from the ground, from the margins, and from the wild. This selection is not just a milestone for the film it’s a moment of solidarity with many others striving to tell the right stories at the right time.

Parallel Perspectives: Bengaluru's Evolving Identities

For CreativeMornings Bengaluru's talk #100, we present a specially curated panel of three former speakers - Suresh Jayaram, Aliyeh Rizvi and Ranganath Krishnamani. Together they will draw parallels between the past, present and future identities of namma Bengaluru through each of their distinct perspectives and disciplines of Art, Cultural research and Design.

Unlike regular talks, this three hour session would be a collaborative and interactive engagement between the speakers and the audience. It is recommended to arrive on time and experience the event from start to end.

The task of seperating ಹೊಟ್ಟು Hotu (Rice Husk) and ಅಕ್ಕಿ Akki (Rice) from ಭತ್ತ Bhatta (Paddy) to make ಚುರುಮುರಿ Churmuri (Puffed Rice) begins with a tedious process of boiling the ಭತ್ತ Bhatta (Paddy) with water in high temperature. This task is the first stage of the process in ಚುರುಮುರಿ Churmuri (Puffed Rice) making.
