Have you ever heard of a "biryani poet"?

Talk to any biryani enthusiast and ask them to explain their love for the dish. You might just hear some of the most poetic lines ever spoken. Although their poetic lines should ideally be sculpted in stone for future generations to see, we managed to do the next best thing... capture those golden moments on camera!
We thank all these generous and gentle biryani poets for giving us a byte of their knowledge and sharing their love for the dish with us.

Five different types of biryani, all on one plate. Enough to give anyone a biryani hangover!
We took a small detour from our biryani trails and ended up at this biryani haven. We entered sober and left with a biryani hangover which lasted days. A must-try if you consider yourself a biryani devotee!

We finally convinced Vinay and Renukesh (co-founders of the Bangalore Biryani Club) to grab brunch with us at Shivaji Military Hotel in Bangalore.
Not only did we get an exclusive behind-the-scenes making of Shivaji Hotel's infamous Biryani and Mutton fry, we also understood that biryani was not just a dish for these biryani enthusiasts. It was more like an EMOTION for them!
