Mavanuru Sri Bettada Malleshwara Gudi is a beautiful hilltop Shiva temple located near Mavanuru village in Hassan district, Karnataka. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Malleshwara and has become famous among devotees, photographers, bikers, and travelers because of the massive windmills surrounding the hill. It is popularly known as the “Windmill Temple of Karnataka.”

📍The Sacred Night of Chitra Pournami in Tiruvannamalai.
On this luminous full moon of Chithirai, Tiruvannamalai turns into a sea of devotion. Lakhs of devotees gather at the sacred Arunachaleswarar Temple, drawn by something deeper than ritual—drawn by faith. They come to surrender to Shiva in his powerful form as Arunachaleswarar, and to take part in Girivalam-the 14 km barefoot walk around the divine Arunachala Hill. It is believed that on this night, Chitragupta reflects on our karma-every action we’ve taken.
And so, people fast, pray, and walk under the moonlight... seeking forgiveness, healing, and a new beginning.

That is why, even today, at Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Lord Hanuman is seen with tied hands.
