NEW STUDENT LEADERSHIP FOR SOUTH SUDANESE STUDENTS IN RWANDA

The Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in Kampala, Uganda, has formally forwarded the names of newly nominated student leaders to the High Commission of the Republic of Rwanda in Kampala, Uganda, as part of efforts to establish a caretaker body for the South Sudanese Students’ Association in Rwanda.

In a Note Verbale dated 18 August 2026, referenced EMB/RSS/UG/18.08.2026. A.1, the South Sudan Embassy presented the nominees selected by representatives from different universities in Rwanda.

The Embassy has also requested the Government of Rwanda to support the new student leadership and provide guidance on matters relating to student affairs, strengthening institutional coordination and cooperation between the South Sudanese student community and relevant authorities in Rwanda.
