I am pleased to share with you all the premiere of the Indian film ‘Flying Elephants’.
Although considered sacred, elephants are being decimated across Asia. They are being poached, electrocuted, and their home is lost to the expansion of human settlements, agricultural fields, roads and railways.
The film, inspired by the mythological story in Gajashastra and narrated in the Betta kuruba Tribal language, sheds light on these sensitive, emotional, and socially intelligent creatures that rightfully deserve their place in the natural world.
Join us in celebrating this magnificent creature and share the film.
Flying Elephants is a Winner in ‘Best Global Voices Film’ category at the Jackson Wild Media Awards! These awards are a celebrated media competition that is considered to be the highest bar of achievement in the natural history filmmaking industry.
It is also Asia’s only chosen film first Official Selection Programme , it was picked as one of 18 short films and 17 feature films from hundreds of submissions from over 40 countries. Wildscreen is the most prestigious wildlife film festival in the world, also hosting the Panda awards, popularly called the “Green Oscars”.
Other recognitions include Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital, S.O.F.A Film Festival, Ireland Wildlife Film Festival.
A mountain of gratitude for this collective triumph who have contributed and believed in this beloved project.
