Fatherhood and bonding:

A baby indeed needs a father and mother to grow cheerfully.

My husband who was taking giant leaps in his career was unable to give time to his family because of heavy work pressure. He used to work like a machine and after the baby, his absence started creating a vacuum and hollowness in our lives.

I recollect when my 7-month-old boy was unable to recognize his father after Rohit returned from his 14-day US trip.

Our son was scared to see a stranger in our room and was crying and screaming constantly at Rohit and grabbing my face with his little hands.

Such incidents and tensions within our relationship between the phases kept happening for 1 year. (Someday will mention relationships and postpartum depression).

So he decided to go through a major transformation in our lives.

Luckily, he was offered a role which he was longing for and with this additional bonus was that he could devote his weekends and spare some time on weekdays with us.

With my break, we decided to take care of our family and live a simpler life. With this, the bond has grown stronger and love is all around us.

Bigi now plays with his father and loves him more. They both play, laugh, dance and giggle.

Especially, Rohit allows him to do whatever he wants and contributes to making the house messy.

We can feel that within this short span, the baby has shown rapid growth in the graph of naughtiness and development.

I believe it’s very important to understand the priorities, compare and make some decisions.

Maybe my career has been at a standstill for some time but this pause has resumed the other phase of my life in a much more satisfactory norms.

Our married life is back on track in the most loving way and we are seeing rainbows every day.

Our baby is getting the love and pampering he deserves and unwanted attention.

I am writing again a fairy tale where my tears roll down out of joy.

I believe that we write our fairy tales multiple times in life. It’s how we decide to lead our life and I am the one who wants to enjoy every phase and experience every challenge in life.

Then vs Now 💛🎀
There was a time when Friendship Day meant one thing — the more bands, the more friends! 🎉
We used to count them proudly, show them off in class, and even start prepping weeks ahead with handmade cards and little gifts for our gang. ✨🎁

And now, here I am — a mom, helping my little toddler carry on the same ritual.
He’s learning to exchange bands, pick gifts for his tiny friends, and celebrate this beautiful bond of friendship. 💛

Life has changed, but the love and excitement for friendships remain the same — just passed down to the next little heart. 🥹 ❤️

Every morning, I leave for office at 7:50, leaving behind my little world—my baby, my home, and him. And every day, as I step out, I think to myself… how lucky he is to work from home.
He gets to witness those random toddler giggles, messy breakfast moments, and lazy mid-morning cuddles. While I rush through traffic and meetings, he’s there living the moments I miss.

And in between all this, there’s one more pillar of my everyday—our nanny. The one who feeds my son, gets him ready, sends him off to school, and cares for him with so much love that I breathe a little easier while I’m away.
We’re not just a working couple—we’re a working family. And it truly takes a village.

“Monday blues aren’t about work… they’re about missing my little world at home.
His totli boli echoes in my head, and every hug I couldn’t give today weighs on my heart.
CCTV shows what he’s doing — my mind tells stories of running back to him.
Weekends are magic… Mondays, a test of motherhood.”

Bangalore weather right now – gloomy skies, unexpected showers, and sudden humidity. 🌧️
No wonder every second child is down with fever, cold, and cough.
This changing weather is taking a toll on our little ones’ immunity.
Stay hydrated, offer warm comforting meals like dal khichdi, and don’t forget those snuggles. 💛 .recipe
