Kerala Style Chicken Cutlet Recipe👇
This recipe makes 8 cutlets
Ingredients:
Oil - 3 tbsp
Chopped Onion - 2 Big
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Chopped Green Chilli - 4 to 5
Salt - 3/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Fennel powder - 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper powder - 3/4 tsp
Garam Masala - 3/4 tsp
Chopped Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Chopped Curry Leaves - 1/2 cup
Water - 2 tbsp
Boiled Potato - 2 medium
Boneless Chicken (Minced) - 200 gm
Egg - 1
Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
Oil for frying
Preparation:
Pressure cook potatoes with salt, turmeric, water for 3 to 4 whistles. Peel mash and keep aside.
To make minced chicken, pressure cook boneless chicken with some salt, turmeric, black pepper powder, fennel powder and water for 2 to 3 whistles. Add cooked chicken to a mixer jar and churn to make minced chicken.
Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste and fry until raw smell is gone.
Add chopped onions, chopped green chillies, little salt and fry until it turns soft and slightly changes colour.
Add all the powders and saute.
Add coriander and curry leaves and saute for a minute.
Add minced chicken, mashed potato to this and combine everything really well.
Check salt at this stage and add some if needed.
Take small portions of this mixture and make patties. Dip in beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a separate pan and shallow fry the patties on a medium flame until golden brown on both the sides. Remove on to a kitchen towel to drain out excess oil.
Your chicken cutlets are ready!!!
