🚨 ONE WRONG MOVE WITH A CANE CORSO CAN CHANGE THE ENTIRE INTERACTION.
And no — “I love dogs!” is NOT a greeting strategy. 😂
A Cane Corso doesn’t owe a stranger affection.
If you meet one, remember:
❌ Don’t run toward them.
❌ Don’t stare them down.
❌ Don’t suddenly put your hand on their head.
❌ Don’t hug them.
❌ Don’t force an interaction.
Instead…
✅ Stop. Stay calm.
✅ Give them space.
✅ Stand relaxed and slightly sideways.
✅ Let them observe you.
✅ Let THEM decide whether they want to come closer.
✅ Respect their body language.
The biggest mistake people make?
They think greeting a dog is about what THEY want to do.
It’s not.
It’s about making the DOG feel safe enough to choose the interaction. 🖤
