Ragi Aapam , also known as finger millet Aapam, is a South Indian dish, specifically a variation of the traditional aapam, made using ragi flour (finger millet) instead of rice. It’s a healthy and delicious breakfast or snack option, often enjoyed with stews, curries, or coconut milk. Ragi is a nutritious grain rich in calcium, iron, and fiber, making ragi appam a healthy alternative to traditional rice-based aapams.In my recipe today, I have used PARRY’s Sprouted Ragi Flour - which is made from finger millet (ragi) grains that have been soaked and allowed to germinate, or sprout, before being dried and ground into a flour. This process increases the nutritional value and digestibility of the flour compared to regular ragi flour. I highly recommend this product.
