ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು (ಜು.24): ಅಪರೂಪದ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ತಳಿಗಳಾದ ಅಮೃತ ಮಹಲ್​ನ ರಾಸುಗಳು ಮೇವಿಲ್ಲದ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿರುವ ದಾರುಣ ಘಟನೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕಡೂರು ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಬಾಸೂರು ಕಾವಲ್​ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.ವಿಜಯನಗರ ಕಾಲದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ತಳಿಗಳಾದ ಈ ಹಸುಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ವ್ಯಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ,ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದಿಂದ ತಿನ್ನಲು ಮೇವು ಸಿಗದೇ ಈ ದುರಂತ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ.

ಕಳೆದ ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ರಾಸುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಮೇವು ಸಿಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ . ರಾಸುಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ 70 ಎಕರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಈ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮೇವಿನ ಬೆಳೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೇ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಮೇವಿಗಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಇಂತಿಷ್ಟು ಎಂದು ಹಣ ಮೀಸಲಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಈ ಹಣ ಕೂಡ ಮೇವಿಗಾಗು ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಹಣ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇಲ್ಲ.ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹಸಿವಿನಿಂದಾಗಿ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಹಸು ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದೆ. ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿರುವ ಹಸುವಿನ ಮರೋಣತ್ತರ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ವೈದ್ಯರು ರಾಸುಗಳ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇವಿನ ಅಂಶವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಮೇವು, ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದೇ ನಿತ್ರಾಣದಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳು ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾವೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

The Amrithmahal about 200-600 years back since the Chalukyas of Badami,Vijayanagara Empire,Mysore Wodeyars,Britishers etc..There were more than 137-164 Bloodlines in Amrithmahal only..

Now almost more than 80% of their population have become extinct due to many reasons..

Now we have save,preserve,conserve and develop this breed at root level..As per now we can see about 10-25 bloodlines still exist in most parts of South India still..

We all have to be united and determined to save this Heritage breed of The World.
