The intention is simple, let's read things we generally don't read, let us discuss things we generally don't discuss... and if we do happen to discuss issues, then let us try and do in a different way- objectively.

A war veteran's take on what it was like in Iraq. On how Clint Eastwood needed to do a little more to figure out what it is to be an American Sniper in Iraq.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking the hit movie captures the truth of the Iraq conflict. I should know. I lived it

Four years back we had the privilege of interviewing Justice Krishna Iyer. He was 95 then. He was not keeping well and hence was lying down for most part of the interview. He was candid, patiently answered all our questions and quoted from judgements off hand. Once we finished the interview he asked me not to publish it immediately. He requested for a transcript of the interview to be mailed to his secretary "so that I can correct mistakes that I might have made" he said. Ten days later we received a prompt reply with a few corrections... The interview was published in March 2011. Meeting him was truly inspiring, Justice Krishna Iyer will remain an inspiration for generations to come. RIP

Sir even after your retirement as a judge you remained very active in the public domain and are respected as a person who stood for the cause of the people. Did you not ever consider joining active politics to aid your work amongst the people?

"The kind of inequality India has if that were to happen in a European country it would have faced six revolutions. For centuries we have played with the psyche of the masses. That your deeds in the last birth are responsible for your present miserable state of affairs. It is given a religious tinge so that he should not revolt. What if he said he wants the same bread that the rich are having? It is like I have been told that your films don’t make 100 crores because your cinematic vision doesn’t appeal to the popular taste. And I say is janam mein hi 100 crore bana ke dikhayenge"
