Telangana-based Pentaspace Design Studio has designed Nava Bharat, which is a corporate headquarters. Adhering to local culture, the project spanning 20,000 sq. ft. extensively uses natural and locally sourced materials. Glass elements and light shades mirror the company’s identity, and the color palette uses granite gray, white, and American Walnut-finished furniture inspired by nature.

A prominent natural feature, a sizable granite boulder, occupies a central position in the head office. Retaining their commitment to nature, the architects preserved and transformed the boulder into a central breakout space in the office. This maintained the boulder’s natural beauty and it became a highly-occupied spot in the head office.

Vadodara-based Maya Space Studio has designed The Cozy Room, which is a residential project focused on elegance and functionality. One finds veneer paneling, curving ceilings, and partitions with metal screens in the living room. The sleek veneer partition is embellished with shimmering crystals, seamlessly dividing the space and concealing doors. The white-themed décor includes white paneling and soft lighting to add depth and contrast.

Coming to the master bedroom features white paneling with grooves. The black television unit adds contrast, and the wardrobes are divided into three parts with veneer and reflective glass shutters. The black panel is framed in golden metal, with white and maroon tiles for warmth. Roman curtains bring privacy to the room, complementing the strategically placed lighting fixtures.

Chennai-based Triple O Studio has designed the House of Chittam, which is a 3BHK apartment for a family of five and two pets. A Pichwai art-inspired wallpaper complements the Tanjore painting that becomes the focal point, along with a carved mango wood console for charm and functionality.

The living and dining space easily accommodates eight to ten people, with a reupholstered sofa, traditional ikkat prints for the curtains, and cushions for a splash of heritage. This flows into the open kitchen, which has English-inspired emerald green shutters with traditional molding. Classic black and white patterned files are used in the backsplash, complementing the white granite countertop.

New Delhi-based Sthapati has designed the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya, with a built-up area of 8000 sq. m. The two-storeyed airport has a GRIHA 4-star Certification, inviting passengers to enjoy the modern facilities on the ground floor. On the first floor, one finds the airport operations in place.

The building is inspired by the gradual elevation of the mandapas and nagara style of temple architecture in North India, improving connectivity across India while reflecting Ayodhya’s heritage. A stepped shikhar welcomes one at the main entrance, outlined with scriptures following the nagara style. .

Navi Mumbai-based Mercury Architects has designed Evolve, an apartment that combines two adjacent flats. Designed for a joint family of six, spaces become one large room that has a grand foyer, living room, and dining area. A domed ceiling welcomes the visitors with a gently cascading chandelier, resembling the foliage of an inverted white cherry blossom tree inspired by the Mediterranean style.

The wall has a Devnagari calligraphy artwork by artist Vinay Devgharkar, capturing the names of the owner’s parents. Natural light flows into the entrance through the children’s room’s glass door, entering which one finds gently curved furniture and neutral colors. White and beige are the primary colors used, with the wooden grain adding texture, movement, and fluidity.

Gurugram-based Envisage has designed The Gatsby, which is a 5BHK single-family home in New Delhi. The client wanted to efficiently use the space to reflect the family’s Art Deco style. Dark bold colours dominate the interiors without compromising on their spaciousness, using walls for design opportunities rather than visual barriers.

Much of the natural light enters from the south, so the exterior features planters and a double-height green wall for a pleasant microenvironment within the home. Cobbled stone flooring lends a rustic touch, and the entrance takes one to the staircase leading to the living room above.

Bengaluru-based Marble Centre International - MCI designed Lucent, an onyx art installation in collaboration with Ar. Smaran Mallesh, Ar. Narendra Pirgal, and Ar. Vikram Rajashekar, Co-founders and Principal Architects, Cadence Architects; and Ar. Debanshu Bhaumik and Ar. Gaurav Patekar; 13°77° Studio. The kinetic sculpture represents life itself: ebbing and flowing rather than standing still. It exhibits the luminescence and translucency of onyx marble, highlighted by the vein-like patterns that glimmer in the light. The installation represents the ever-flowing force of life present in nature by juxtaposing natural elements with technology, surrounded by greenery.

Ar. Smaran Mallesh, Co-founder and Principal Architect, Cadence Architects, says, “We are in the age of sustainable art and fashion, therefore gone are the days where artists and patrons are solely concerned about the artistic impact of the project. For the materials used in the installation to stay in use long after the festival is over, MCI and the artists came up with the idea of a moveable installation with dismantlable pieces that can be assembled in just an hour."

Ahmedabad-based Compartment S4 has designed the Oatmeal House, which is a residential project spanning 1400 sq. ft. One finds clean aesthetics, natural light, and functionality in the design with a modern interpretation of craftsmanship using wood and cane. The formal living room converts into an extra bedroom with the sofa doubling as a bed, adding the additional requirement of 200 sq. ft. over the existing space.

Embracing simplicity, functionality, and individuality, bedrooms balance modern urban living and timeless design. One finds the same teak and cane material palette in the master bedroom for a warm and contemporary flair, adding texture and warmth.

Erode-based Studio Pa.Ra has designed the Amezol Workspace in Tiruchengode, which is a corporate project that balances simplicity with the company’s beliefs, values, and future aspirations. Their approach also prioritized natural light, privacy, space utilization, and functionality for their 1000 sq. ft. office.

White dominates the minimal color palette, which visually expands the space, enhances light quality, and promotes productivity. Pastel green symbolizes Amezol’s commitment to eco-conscious practices in its chemical product manufacturing, bringing life into the space and reminding one of the company’s values.

Plants offer visual relief to the professionals and visitors, becoming focal points in a lively atmosphere.
