THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE VISITING KATHMANDU, NEPAL 🇳🇵
1️⃣ Apply for your Nepal visa before flying with iVisa . I completed mine online in minutes and had everything reviewed before departure, which made arriving at Kathmandu airport much smoother and faster after landing.
2️⃣ Use the prepaid taxi counter outside the airport for fixed prices and to avoid overpaying.
3️⃣ Download inDrive and Pathao apps to move around Kathmandu easily by car or bike.
4️⃣ Stay in Thamel for the main tourist area, restaurants and cafes, or choose Patan for a quieter and more local vibe.
5️⃣ Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Patan Durbar Square.
And most importantly: eat all the momo you can 🥟
Nepal 🇳🇵 is officially country 62/197 for me and already becoming one of my favourite countries I’ve visited.
