Essar Power has appointed Arun Kumar as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its renewables business division as the company expands into PV solar, battery storage, EVs, and wind energy.

With over two decades of experience in the renewable energy sector, he will lead Essar's efforts in transitioning to green energy and establishing a robust renewable ecosystem in India.

Previously serving as the CEO at ACME Solar Holdings, Kumar spearheaded strategic expansions into green hydrogen and ammonia businesses while enhancing geographical footprints. In his new role, Kumar will collaborate closely with Essar Power's board and leadership teams to build a strong portfolio in renewable energy.

Malay Joshi succeeds Srini Pallia, who recently assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Wipro Limited. In addition to his new role, Joshi will also join the Wipro Executive Board.

Previously serving as the Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head, he led Wipro's Communications, Media, Tech, Retail, Travel, Hospitality, and Public Sector industries, driving successful enterprise transformations and ensuring consistent revenue growth. With over 28 years of experience at Wipro, Joshi has held various leadership roles across functions, industries, and geographies.
