When we think of astronomy, names like NASA, Hubble, and modern observatories often come to mind.

But centuries before the invention of telescopes, ancient Indian scholars were already observing the skies, tracking planetary movements, calculating eclipses, and developing mathematical models to understand the universe.

From Aryabhata's revolutionary ideas about Earth's rotation to the remarkable astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar, India's scientific heritage is filled with stories that deserve to be remembered.

What fascinates me most is not just the knowledge they possessed, but the mindset behind it.

They looked up at the night sky and asked questions.

They observed.

They calculated.

They challenged assumptions.

And that spirit of curiosity remains the foundation of every scientific discovery today.

Perhaps the greatest lesson from ancient Indian astronomy is that innovation does not begin with technology.

It begins with curiosity.

If we want to prepare the next generation of scientists, innovators, and explorers, we must encourage children to ask bigger questions about the world and the universe around them.

🔥 NATURE IS SENDING US A WARNING... ARE WE LISTENING?

A few decades ago, summer nights were filled with thousands of glowing fireflies. Today, in many places, they have almost disappeared.

This isn't just about losing a beautiful insect.

Fireflies are bioindicators. Their decline signals increasing light pollution, habitat destruction, excessive pesticide use, and a growing imbalance in our ecosystems.

When nature's smallest lights begin to fade, it is often a sign that something much bigger is changing.

As a science educator, I believe every disappearing species carries a message. Fireflies are not just insects; they are a reminder that our relationship with nature needs attention.

The question is not: "Where have the fireflies gone?"

The real question is: "What are we doing to the world that made them disappear?"
