The Sri Sanjeevani Perumal Temple usually refers to the ancient, hill-top shrine of Sanjeevaraya Perumal on Siragiri (Thalaimalai) Hills in the Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu, a 17th-century Vishnu temple built by Nayaka rulers, famous for its difficult trek and legends of the Sanjeevani herb from the Ramayana. There are also other temples named Sanjeevini Anjaneya Swami, like the one in Bangalore, but the Thalaimalai one is most prominent, involving a challenging 5km climb through rocks and bushes to reach the presiding deity, Lord Vishnu, with Hanuman shrines nearby.
