In 2010, didn’t get the National Award for — and that was a role where he truly deserved it 🙏💔. Fast forward to now, he wins it for ... Even he must be wondering, “For what acting did I get it this time?” 😅🎭

And then comes the biggest joke of the decade —
🎬 bags Best Director ( ) and Best Cinematography ( ) at the National Awards 🤦‍♂️😂

Let’s talk about Sudipto Sen’s “directional brilliance” and his “National Award-worthiness”👇

🔹 False Claims in Trailer
Claimed 32,000 women from Kerala were recruited to ISIS.
➡️ Reality: Verified cases = just 3 to 5 😑
🚫 Supreme Court (May 2023) made them change the trailer & remove the fake number.

🔹 Over-dramatization & Stereotyping
Everything exaggerated. Whole communities painted in one shade. No depth, no nuance, just propaganda. 🙄

🔹 Inaccurate Cultural Portrayal
Dialects, costumes, behavior — all felt wrong & inauthentic. Even the emotional transformations were half-baked. 😒

🔹 No Balance in Storytelling
No counterpoints, no positive portrayal of minorities — just one-sided narrative. Zero subtlety, just agenda. 🎯

Yet it gets awarded...🤷‍♂️ What a time to be alive!

On the other side, and created a cinematic masterpiece — ❤️🎥
🌍 Stunning visuals
🔥 Intense performance
💯 Based on a true survival story
👉 But ZERO recognition at the National Awards 😓
Why? Because they didn’t push fake agendas or belong to the B-town remake gang (aka ) 🙃

Pathetic its just being every year...
Goat Life was on 2013 December 31 and truely desered a recognition but decision was region specific and political specific.... Best Director is - this is comedy of the decade😂😂

Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Navas found dead in hotel room, aged 51.
മിമിക്രി താരവും ചലച്ചിത്ര അഭിനേതാവുമായ കലാഭവൻ നവാസ് (51) അന്തരിച്ചു. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച രാത്രി ചോറ്റാനിക്കരയിലെ ഒരു ഹോട്ടൽ മുറിയിൽ മരിച്ച നിലയിലാണ് നവാസിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ഹൃദയാഘാതമാണ് മരണകാരണമെന്ന് കരുതുന്നു.

നവാസ് ഷൂട്ടിംഗിനായാണ് ചോറ്റാനിക്കരയിൽ എത്തിയിരുന്നത്. ചിത്രീകരണം കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഹോട്ടൽ മുറിയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിയ അദ്ദേഹം ഏറെനേരം പുറത്തു വന്നില്ല. മുറിയുടെ താക്കോൽ തിരികെ ലഭിക്കാതിരുന്നതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ഹോട്ടൽ ജീവനക്കാർ നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് നവാസിന്റെ മരണം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചത്.

തൃശൂർ വടക്കാഞ്ചേരിയിൽ പ്രശസ്ത നാടക-ചലച്ചിത്ര നടൻ അബൂബക്കറിന്റെ മകനായി ജനിച്ച നവാസ് മിമിക്രിയിലൂടെ കലാരംഗത്തേക്ക് പ്രവേശിച്ചു. കലാഭവനിൽ ചേർന്നതോടെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് പ്രശസ്തി ലഭിച്ചത്. സഹോദരൻ നിയാസ് ബക്കറിനൊപ്പം കൊച്ചിൻ ആർട്സ് മിമിക്രി ട്രൂപ്പ് രൂപീകരിച്ച് നാട്ടിലും വിദേശത്തും നിരവധി സ്റ്റേജ് ഷോകൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.
1995ൽ ‘ചൈതന്യം’ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെയാണ് നവാസ് സിനിമാരംഗത്തേക്ക് കടന്നുവന്നത്. മാ‌ട്ടുപ്പെട്ടി മച്ചാൻ, തില്ലാന തില്ലാന, മായാജാലം, ജൂനിയർ മാന്‍ഡ്രേക്ക്, മൈലാഞ്ചി മൊഞ്ചുള്ള വീട്, കസബ, മൈഡിയർ കരടി, ഇഷ്ടമാണ് നൂറുവട്ടം തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി സിനിമകളിലും ടെലിവിഷൻ പരമ്പരകളിലും അദ്ദേഹം ശ്രദ്ധേയ വേഷങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.
