Exploring Assistive Technology with "Story Akka"

As we continue our journey with "Story Akka," we're dedicated to highlight the transformative world of Assistive Technology. Each programme contains an inspiring segment from “Vidhya Akka”, co-founder of Vision Empower who speaks about cool innovations that help the disabled community.

Today, we'd like to touch upon Text-to-Speech (TTS) which is a type of assistive technology that reads digital text aloud. TTS can take words on a computer or other digital device and convert them into audio.

"Story Akka" is committed to not only sharing captivating stories but also educating and inspiring our young listeners.

We're thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of "Story Akka," an exclusive story series for children on the radio! 🎉📚 Starting September 5th, join us on All India Radio Akashvani at 5:45 PM as we embark on an incredible journey of learning, empathy, and inclusivity.

On this Teacher's Day, we're taking a step forward towards inclusive education and empowerment. "Story Akka" is all about bringing together children of all abilities through the magic of storytelling and technology. 🌈✨

Each episode of "Story Akka" will feature: 📖 🤖 Informational segments on digital assistive technologies, 🧮 Engaging educational components, with stories touching upon math and science topics.

🌟 Celebrating Success in Education & Empowerment 🌟

What an incredible evening it was! 🌄✨ We held a small get-together in honour of two remarkable and inspiring young leaders, Basmati Birua and Siddhartha Pareya, from a remote village in Jharkhand. 🙌🏽📚💪

Basmati, with her indomitable spirit, shared her journey of running a school in forrest, 100 km away from Jamshedpur. Her dedication to providing education in such a unique setting truly left us all in awe. 🌳🏫

And Siddhartha, change maker and a talented Archer, regaled us with the incredible achievement of his two girl students who have secured jobs with the Indian Army! 🏹🎯 What an inspiring example of breaking barriers and achieving dreams.

We were privileged to gather with friends who are equally passionate about education and dedicated to tackling India's social challenges head-on. Together, we engaged in thoughtful conversations and exchanged ideas, all while learning invaluable lessons from these young leaders. 🗣️💡

A special thank you to our gracious host, Usha Satish Mudukutore, for opening her eco-friendly home in Vyalikaval to us.
