It's time to welcome autumn

Mehraj Malik sbh, as an elected representative, deserves the same protocol privileges as the other 89 MLAs. This unequal treatment reveals the insecurity of the ruling and LG administrations, especially since he is more popular than the CM and LG in Jammu and Kashmir.

J&K Assembly: The Public Deserves Answers, Not Disruptions

The recent Assembly session has left many people disappointed. Important issues concerning unemployment, recruitment, daily wagers, NHM employees, electricity, water, healthcare and basic infrastructure deserve serious debate and concrete action.

The repeated disruptions have created a perception among the public that political confrontation is taking precedence over their day-to-day problems.

At the same time, MLA Mehraj malik deserves appreciation for repeatedly trying to put public issues before the House. During the session, he raised concerns regarding electricity billing, water supply and development works, and questioned why proceedings were being diverted from issues affecting ordinary people.

Whatever one’s political affiliation, an elected representative should use the Assembly to question, demand answers and highlight the problems of the people.

The message from the public is simple:

Less confrontation. More debate.
Less politics. More accountability.
And above all — public issues must come first.

Jammu & Kashmir deserves an Assembly where every elected representative, whether in government or opposition, works for the people who sent them there.

The people are watching. The issues cannot wait.
