INTERSTATE G***A SMUGGLING RACKET FROM PHULBANI, ODISHA TO SURAT, GUJARAT BUSTED. TWO MALE G***A TRANSPORTERS FROM ODISHA ARRESTED. SEIZED 17.909 KGs G***A

On 08.05.2026 Secunderabad Railway Police (GRP) and RPF have jointly organized surprise checking against the Drug peddlers on platforms and trains at Secunderabad Railway Station and apprehended one accused and CCL boy in Secunderabad Railway Station who were transporting Dry G***a from Phulbani, Odisha to Surat, Gujarat via Secunderabad.
G***a Transporters:-
A2: Deepak Swain S/o Sudarshan Swain, Age: 24 years, Occu: Labour, R/o Navapura, Surat Town, Gujarat State, N/o Kodala village and P.S, G***am District of Odisha State.
CCL boy: Aged about 16 years, N/o Odisha State.
G***a Peddler:
A1: Rajesh Kumar S/o Late Subash Kumar, Age: 25 years, R/o Kodala village and P.S, G***am District of Odisha State (Absconding)
The accused A2) Deepak Swain and CCL boy are natives of Odisha State and are presently residing in Surat of Gujarat State along with their family. Few days ago, they visited their native village, where A1) Rajesh Kumar met them and lured them by offering Rs.7,000/- each g***a packet, if they transported g***a from Odisha to Surat. Due to their financial difficulties, A2 and the CCL boy agreed A1’s proposal. Accordingly, as per the directions of A1, on 07.05.2026 in the early morning A2 and CCL boy went to the Phulbani forest area, where they met A1 and received g***a packets kept in two trolley suitcases. They were instructed to transport the contraband to Surat. Then A2 took one trolley suitcase containing 5 packets, while the CCL boy took another trolley suitcase containing 4 packets of g***a. Further, they boarded Tr.No.17015 Visakha Express and travelled to Secunderabad along with g***a bags, planning to proceed to Surat from Secunderabad. Upon enquiry, they learnt that the train to Surat is scheduled for the night, so they waited in the general waiting hall. However, on 08.05.2026 at about 0720 hours, the police personnel apprehended A2 & CCL and seized 17.909 Kgs of g***a. A1 Rajesh Kumar is absconding.
Sri. B. Saieashwar Goud, IRP along with Sri. T. Madhav, SIRP and his staff Sri. S. Swaran Kumar RHC 81, Sri. K. Shanmukh Rao RHC 24, Sri. M. Govardhan RPC 263, Sri. Sri. D. Naga RPC 659, Sri. N. Murali RPC 723 and Sri. K. Chandra Shekar RPC 35 of RPS Secunderabad and RPF Staff Sri. Bhavani Shankar Saraswat IPF/SC, Sri. B.N Singh IPF/CIB/SC and his staff, apprehended the accused under the supervision of Sri. Sandeep IPS, i/c Supdt. of Railway Police and Sri S.N. Jawed, DSRP SC(U).
