Ex-MLA and Senior PDP Leader Shoaib Nabi Lone Raises Serious Concerns Over Lack of Basic Facilities in Baramulla Constituency

Ex-MLA and senior PDP leader Shoaib Nabi Lone has strongly raised concerns over the alleged lack of basic facilities and developmental works in several areas of the Baramulla constituency.

During his visit to the Kandi area of Baramulla constituency, Shoaib Nabi Lone took note of the poor condition of several roads and other basic infrastructure. He said that while development is being showcased extensively on social media platforms, the situation on the ground tells a different story.

He specifically highlighted the condition of the Chandoosa–Nilsar–Babareshi road, besides the Fakirbagh–Rajpora Sultanpora road and roads in Nilsar Jamia, Bhat Mohalla, Greaspor–Bhat Mohalla and Khan Mohalla, where residents are facing considerable difficulties due to the condition of the roads.

Shoaib Nabi Lone said that people in these areas continue to face basic infrastructure problems and questioned the pace of development under the present government.

He said that the people had given the government a clear mandate in the Assembly elections and therefore deserve better basic facilities, roads and development at the grassroots level.

“If the government cannot provide basic facilities to the people who gave it a full mandate, then it should take responsibility and answer to the people,” Shoaib Nabi Lone.
