Sopore Police Arrest Drug Peddler, Seize Contraband.

Sopore, July 09, 2025:
Continuing its crackdown against drug trafficking, Sopore Police today apprehended a drug peddler during a routine naka checking operation at Dandoosa Crossing near Golden Gate School, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Dangiwacha.

The accused has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Dobi, son of Ali Mohammad Dobi, resident of Dobi Mohalla Dangiwacha. Contraband charas-like substance was recovered from his possession during personal search.

In this regard, FIR No. 80/2025 under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha, and further investigation is underway to trace the source and broader network.

Sopore Police reiterates its zero-tolerance policy against narcotics.

“Our eyes are on every link in the chain. If you’re part of it, justice will find you—swiftly and without leniency.”

Public support remains vital in this fight. Sopore Police urges all citizens to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help build a safer, drug-free Sopore.
