Inauguration of 3rd National Lok Adalat at District Court Complex, Baramulla
Baramulla, 13th September 2025:
The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Baramulla, in collaboration with the District Judiciary Baramulla, today hosted the inauguration of the 3rd National Lok Adalat at the District Court Complex, Baramulla. The event was graced by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Ladakh and Administrative Judge for District Baramulla, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Upon his arrival, Hon’ble Justice Koul was warmly received by the legal fraternity and formally inaugurated the National Lok Adalat. The ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of:

During the proceedings of the Lok Adalat, compensation cheques were distributed among MACT (Motor Accident Claims Tribunal) claimants, offering timely relief to the beneficiaries and reflecting the essence of accessible and prompt justice.
The event also served as a platform for meaningful engagement between Hon’ble Justice Koul and members of the Bar. In a candid interaction with Bar Association President Adv. Neelofar Masood and other senior advocates, key issues concerning court infrastructure, working conditions, and other critical matters were discussed.
As a mark of respect and appreciation, the Bar Association Baramulla felicitated Hon’ble Justice Koul for his unwavering dedication and efforts toward strengthening the judicial system. In his address, Justice Koul thanked the Bar for the warm reception and assured sincere efforts to resolve the concerns raised, with a commitment to improving the efficiency and working of the courts.
