যুদ্ধ
তুমুল গর্জনে কঁপে আকাশ,
ধূলিৰ কুৱলীত ঢাকিছে চাৱনি,
মানুহৰ মুখত সৰু নহয় হাঁহি,
শুধু আছে চকুত ভয়াৱহ জীৱনবাণী।

খনিৰে খনি শুই আছে মৰম,
বন্দুকৰ মুখত থমকি ৰ'ল ধৰণী,
ৰক্তৰ ৰংত ৰঙীন সপোন,
যুদ্ধৰ নামত মৰে সভ্যতা খনি।

মাকৰ বুকুৰে উথলে কান্দোন,
লাহে লাহে নীৰৱ হয় পল্লী,
যুদ্ধত জয়-পরাজয়ৰ নামত,
হেৰুৱায় মানুহ, নপায় শান্তি।

শত হাহাকাৰ, সহস্ৰ চিঠি,
নহয় কোনো কাব্য — এটি যুদ্ধৰ খিনি।
মানুহেই মানুহৰ শত্রু হ’ব নালাগে,
শান্তিৰ নামত থমকাও যুদ্ধৰ আগি।
