*Mahinder Pal Elected President of Dr. Ambedkar S.C./B.C. Teachers’ Union, Bathinda*
*The demands of S.C./B.C. teachers and children of Bathinda district will be resolved soon*
The elections for the Dr. Ambedkar S.C./B.C. Teachers’ Union, Bathinda were held today at the Teacher Home, Bathinda, where representatives of S.C./B.C. teachers from across the district elected the new office bearers.
Mr. Mahinder Pal, S.S. Master at Government Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Bathinda, was unanimously chosen as the President, while Mr. Jagjeevan Ram, S.S. Master at Government Senior Secondary School, Narwana, was elected as the General Secretary. Mr. Om Prakash, Punjabi Teacher at Government High School, Janata Nagar, Bathinda, and Mr. Krishan Kumar, Head Master at Government High School, Mirzeana, Bathinda, were also elected as office bearers. Mr. Ajay Aman of World Xavier School, Bathinda, was appointed Press Secretary, Advocate Navneet Kataria was named Legal Advisor, Mr. Ved Moriyan was chosen as Assistant Legal Advisor, and Mr. Chet Ram was elected as Patron.
The newly elected President, Mr. Mahinder Pal, has also been given the authority to induct additional members into the union. It was further announced that elections in the remaining districts will be conducted shortly.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mahinder Pal assured that the issues concerning S.C./B.C. teachers and children in Bathinda district will be addressed on priority. “We will soon meet the District Education Officer and higher authorities to ensure that the demands of teachers and students are resolved at the earliest,” he said.
