Mattupetty dam, Kundala lake, Top Station, Echo Point, Bossom garden, Attukad waterfall, Eravikulam wildlife Sanctuary (must visit), Tata tea museum, etc.

"Munnar" the "Kashmir of South India" ❤🌍

Apart from the magnificent views of tea gardens, waterfalls... it also has very interesting local shows to offer: "Kathakali and Kalaripayattu"🤩

Kalaripayattu: The Indian Martial Arts

"Kalari" means battlefield. This is one of the oldest martial arts from Indian history which is still in existence. People performing this uses real weapons like long and short Swords, knife, sticks and self defense techniques when they don't have weapon as against the person attacking them with weapon.

Videos in this post can surely give you a glimpse of the show but justification and thrilling experience can only be by watching it live.

Ones visiting Munnar, must see this show. This is available in multiple places in Munnar, but one in town is in Thirumeny Cultural Centre from 6 to 7 PM. You can also watch Kathakali in this centre from 5 to 6 PM. Ticket: Rs 300 per person per show. Both these shows are also available in Thekkady.

In the GOD's Own Country "K€R@L@", lies this beautiful town "Munnar" also called as "Kashmir of South India" ❤🌍

Munnar is basically a hill station in the Western Ghats Mountain Range in the Idukki district of Kerala and the beautiful magnificent green landscape offers a wide view of tree plantation🤩

On the way to Munnar from Kochi, you get to witness some waterfalls like Cheeyappara and Valara, though water in fall depends on the season you are travelling in... we found no water when we visited in Jan- 2020🌿🌏🥰

Best time to visit Munnar is from September to March

Description of this place/ stay:- A 30 minutes downhill and 45 minutes uphill raw trek from parking to cottage and back and surrounded by Apple and pear orchids... Situated on the banks of river Parvati (which merges with River beas coming from Manali, in Buntar)... completely peaceful and amazing place to stay at.
