70ರ ದಶಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಾಠಿ ಪ್ರಾಬಲ್ಯ ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ಶಕ್ತಿ ತುಂಬಿ ಗಡಿನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಧ್ವಜ ಆಕಾಶದ ಎತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾರಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರಾದ ದಿವಂಗತ ಎಂ.ಎಸ್.ಟೋಪಣ್ಣವರ 21-2-1974 ರಂದು ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಆಕಾರದ ಕನ್ನಡಮ್ಮ ದಿನಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಿದರು.

ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಪಥಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು ಹಗಲು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು. ಅದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಆಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪತ್

ರಿಕೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪುಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಎಂಟು ಪುಟದ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಕಪ್ಪು ಬಿಳುಪು ಮುದ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುದ್ರಿತವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಈಗ ಮುಖಪುಟ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊನೆಯ ಪುಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಮುದ್ರಣದ ಮೂಲಕ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಗೊಳ್ಳತೊಡಿಗದೆ.

ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆ ನಮ್ಮದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮುದ್ರಣಾಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವಂತ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಸಾರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಅಗ್ರಮಾನ್ಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಬೆಳೆದುನಿಂತಿದೆ.

ಇದೀಗ ತಾಲೂಕಾ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಎಲ್ಲ ವರದಿಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆನ್ಲೈನ್ ಮೂಲಕ ತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಜೆಂಟರ ಮತ್ತು ವರದಿಗಾರರ ಜಾಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

ನೂರಾರು ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಿಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಿ ಅವರು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಯೂರಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ನಮ್ಮದಾಗಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದವರು ಇಂದು ನಾಡಿನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇದೀಗ ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿರುವ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಡಾಟ್ಕಾಮ್ ಹೊಂದಿ ಜನರು ಇಂಟರ್ನೆಟ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಓದುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗ ಸಂಪಾದಕರಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಉಮಾದೇವಿ ಟೋಪಣ್ಣವರ, ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಸಂಪಾದಕರಾಗಿರುವ ರಾಜೀವ ಟೋಪಣ್ಣವರ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಾರ್ಯಗತ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾದ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಪುಟ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಆಂದೋಲನ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಅಭಿಮಾನದ ಸಂಗತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

A toilet sanctioned for differently-abled persons has been constructed with very poor quality in Ambedkar Nagar of Konnur town, Gokak taluk.

ರಾಣಿ ಚನ್ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಶ್ವ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 48 ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳು ಖಾಲಿ ಇವೆ ಎಂದು ರಾಣಿ ಚನ್ನಮ್ಮ ವಿವಿಯ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಸಿ.ಎಂ.ತ್ಯಾಗರಾಜ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸೋಮವಾರ ರಾಣಿ ಚನ್ನಮ್ಮ ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತ‌ನಾಡಿದರು. ರಾಣಿ ಚನ್ನಮ್ಮ ವಿವಿಯ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ 3 ಸಾವಿರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ 15 ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಈಗ 65 ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿವಿಯ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಬಳ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಅನುದಾನ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯದ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

“At the Sangolli Rayanna College of Rani Chennamma University, about 3,000 students are studying. Officially, there were only 15 sanctioned posts, but currently 65 staff members are working. ರಾಣಿ ಚನ್ನಮ್ಮ‌ ವಿವಿಯ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ವಿವಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಆರೋಪ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವಿಯ ಕುಲಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರೊ.ಸಿ.ಎಂ. ತ್ಯಾಗರಾಜ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸೋಮವಾರ ರಾಣಿ ಚನ್ನಮ್ಮ‌ ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ನಿನ್ನೆ ಸಂಜೆ ಓರ್ವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ವಿಚಾರ ಗೊತ್ತಾಯ್ತು. 2021ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಆರಂಭ ಮಾಡಿ 2025ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಆಗುತ್ತೆ. ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ಆರೋಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ‌. ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಪ್ರೋಪೇಸರ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ಅಮಾನತು ಮಾಡಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.ತನಿಖಾ ವರದಿ ಪಡೆದು ಪಿಎಚ್‌ಡಿ ನೀಡಲು ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಯಿತು.
Rani Chennamma University Registrar Prof. C.M. Tyagaraj said that the student, who had conducted research in the Department of History and submitted her thesis, is now making false allegations against the university.

Speaking to reporters at Rani Chennamma University on Monday, he said:

“Yesterday evening, we received information that a student had attempted self-harm. She began her research in 2021 and it was supposed to be completed by 2025. The student has alleged harassment by a faculty member. After investigating, the Syndicate decided to suspend the professor. After receiving the inquiry report, the Syndicate instructed us to award her PhD.

A PhD scholar attempted su***de on Monday by consuming sleeping pills after alleging denial of her PhD degree.
The student from Belagavi’s Rani Channamma University attempted su***de at her home.

She reportedly consumed more than 19 tablets and survived the life-threatening incident. She is currently receiving treatment at Belagavi’s BIMS Hospital.

The attempt was made at her home in Chikkodi town, Belagavi district. She alleged that she was not awarded her PhD certificate during the recent convocation ceremony of Rani Channamma University.

She has accused Vice-Chancellor C.M. Tyagaraj, Registrar Santosh Kamegowda, and guide K.L.N. Murthy of harassment.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಕಲಿಸಿ ಜೀವನ ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕ. ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಟ್ಯೂಷನ್ ಕೂಡ ಹೇಳ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಹೀಗೆ ಟ್ಯೂಷನ್ ಕೇಳಲು ಬಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯ ಮೆರೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕನ ಕಾಮದಾಟ ಬಯಲಾಗಿದ್ದು ಈಗ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೌದು. ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಬರ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಪಾಪಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ನಾಗೇಶ್ವರ ಡೊಮಿನಕೊಪ್ಪ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಬಸವನ ಕುಡಚಿ ನಿವಾಸಿ. ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕನಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಮನೆ ಬಾಡಿಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಟ್ಯೂಷನ್ ಕೂಡ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಹೀಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದಾರಿ ದೀಪ ಆಗಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ಈ ಪಾಪಿ ಇಂದು ಮಾಡಬಾರದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಜೈಲು ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
A lecturer who was supposed to guide students with values and shape their future has instead committed a cruel act. Along with his college duties, he was also conducting private tuition classes for students. It was during these tuition sessions that he allegedly committed the crime on a student. Two years later, the lecturer’s actions have come to light, and the police have now arrested him and sent him to jail.

The accused, identified as Nageshwar Dominakoppa, is a resident of Basavan Kudachi in Belagavi taluk. He worked as a lecturer at a reputed college in Belagavi city and had also rented a house in the city to conduct tuition classes. The person who should have been a guiding light for students has now ended up behind bars for an act he should never have committed.
