अथणी शहरात एक विचित्र घटना घडली आहे. कार मालकाला हेल्मेट न घालता वाहन चालवल्याबद्दल दंड ठोठावण्यात आला आहे. वाहतूक पोलिसांच्या एआय कॅमेऱ्याच्या कार्यपद्धतीवर आता सार्वजनिक चर्चा सुरू झाली आहे.

अथणीतील रहिवासी सुबाष बोझणे यांच्या कारला अंबेडकर सर्कलजवळ वाहतूक नियमांचे उल्लंघन केल्याबद्दल ५०० रुपयांचा दंड ठोठावण्यात आला. मात्र दंडाच्या तपशीलात ‘हेल्मेट न घालता वाहन चालवले’ असे कारण नमूद करण्यात आले आहे.

सतीश जारकीहोळी यांच्या निवासस्थानी ईडी छापे सुरू असतानाच माजी मुख्यमंत्री व खासदार जगदीश शेट्टर यांनी गोकाक येथील आमदार लखान जारकीहोळी यांच्या निवासस्थानी भेट दिल्याने राजकीय वर्तुळात उत्सुकता निर्माण झाली.
शनिवारी जगदीश शेट्टर गोकाक शहरातील लखान जारकीहोळी यांच्या घरी पोहोचले. यावेळी माजी मंत्री रमेश जारकीहोळीही उपस्थित होते. शेट्टर यांनी लखान व रमेश जारकीहोळी यांच्यासोबत जवळपास एका तास महत्त्वाची चर्चा केली.

निवृत्त प्राध्यापिका राजनंदा गार्गी यांनी सांगितले की, बसवन्नांच्या तत्त्वसिद्धांतांचा आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावरही आज अत्यंत महत्त्व आहे. जागतिक लिंगायत महासभेच्या जिल्हा घटकातर्फे आयोजित मासिक अनुभव गोष्टीत त्यांनी विशेष व्याख्यान दिले.

मंत्री सतीश जारकीहोळी यांच्या कुटुंबीय व निकटवर्तीयांवर झालेल्या ईडी छाप्याचा उद्योजक विजय मल्ल्या यांनी तीव्र निषेध केला असून, त्यांनी एक्सवर प्रतिक्रिया दिली.

कडोली गावातील ग्रामस्थांनी ग्रामपंचायतीसमोर आंदोलन करून सर्व्हे क्रमांक ५६४ मधील ग्रामसामुदायिक जमीन कोणत्याही खासगी अथवा सार्वजनिक संस्थेला देऊ नये, अशी मागणी केली. ही जमीन गावकऱ्यांच्या सामुदायिक वापरासाठी राखून ठेवावी, अशी भूमिका घेण्यात आली.

सदर सर्व्हे क्रमांकात ३३ एकर १६ गुंठे जमीन असून त्यातील २० गुंठे ‘बी-खराब’ जमीन वगळण्यात आली आहे. या जमिनीचे वाटप, भाडेपट्टा किंवा हस्तांतरणास ग्रामस्थांनी तीव्र विरोध दर्शविला.

आता महापालिकेकडून मिळणारी जन्म आणि मृत्यू प्रमाणपत्रे थेट नागरिकांच्या घरपोच अंचे विभागामार्फत पोहोचवली जाणार आहेत.
महापालिका आयुक्त कार्तिक एम. आणि बेळगाव अंचे विभागाच्या वरिष्ठ अधीक्षक अरुषी शर्मा यांनी महापालिका आणि अंचे विभाग यांच्यात एमओयूवर स्वाक्षरी केली.
आयुक्त कार्तिक यांनी सांगितले की अर्जदारांनी अर्ज करताना अंचेमार्फत प्रमाणपत्र मिळवण्याची इच्छा व्यक्त करून आपला पत्ता नमूद करावा. त्यानंतर महापालिकेच्या जन्म–मृत्यू प्रमाणपत्र विभागातून प्रमाणपत्र अंचेमार्फत घरपोच पाठवले जाईल.
