*ADC Bhaderwah Reviews Arrangements for Kailash Yatra, Manimahesh Yatra & Janamashtami Celebrations*

Bhaderwah, August 27:-

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah, Sh. Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, today convened a meeting at Dak Bungalow, Bhaderwah, to review and finalise comprehensive arrangements for the upcoming Kailash Yatra, second Manimahesh Yatra and Janamashtami celebrations 2026.

The meeting was attended by senior officers and representatives of various departments, including Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), Police, Army, CRPF, Forest, PWD (R&B), Health, Municipal Committee, Fire & Emergency Services, Traffic, Power and other concerned departments.

Religious heads and stakeholders associated with the Kailash Yatra, along with representatives of various religious organisations and trusts, also participated in the deliberations.

The ADC reviewed arrangements related to traffic management, road connectivity, sanitation, drinking water, power supply, health and medical facilities, security, fire safety and other essential services to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage for devotees.

Detailed arrangements for the Manimahesh Yatra 2026 and Janamashtami celebrations were also discussed. Officers and representatives from the Army, CRPF, SDRF, Civil Defence, PMGSY, Horticulture, and Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department attended the meeting and apprised the ADC of the preparations being undertaken by their respective departments.

The ADC directed all concerned departments to ensure close coordination, timely completion of assigned responsibilities and adequate deployment of manpower and resources. He stressed the need for effective crowd management, uninterrupted essential services and foolproof arrangements to facilitate devotees and visitors throughout the religious events.

The meeting aimed at establishing seamless coordination between the civil administration, security agencies, line departments and religious stakeholders for the successful, smooth and peaceful conduct of the Kailash Yatra, Manimahesh Yatra and Janamashtami celebrations in Bhaderwah.

*ADC Bhaderwah Conducts Surprise Inspection of Government Offices, Stresses Timely Public Service Delivery*

Bhaderwah, August 27:-

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah, Sh. Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, today conducted a surprise inspection of various government offices in Bhaderwah to assess their functioning, staff attendance and the quality of public services being delivered.

During the inspection, the ADC visited the offices of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Power Development Department (PDD), Zonal Education Office (ZEO), Irrigation Department, Tehsil Supply Office (TSO), PMGSY and Public Works Department (PWD).

The ADC took stock of the functioning of each department and reviewed the status of services being provided to the public. He interacted with the concerned officers and officials and stressed the importance of punctuality, discipline, accountability and timely disposal of public-related matters.

ADC Bhutyal directed all concerned officers and officials to discharge their duties with dedication and maintain a citizen-centric approach in the delivery of government services. He emphasized that public grievances should be addressed promptly and that unnecessary delays in routine matters must be avoided.

He further called for better inter-departmental coordination to ensure efficient implementation of government programmes and smooth delivery of essential services. He reiterated that responsiveness, transparency and accountability should remain the key priorities of all government offices for ensuring greater public convenience and satisfaction.

*HARYANVI SINGER ANKIT BALIYAN SHOT DEAD OUTSIDE GYM IN SHAMLI*

Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, Aug 27:-
Haryanvi singer, actor and YouTuber Ankit Baliyan was shot dead outside a gym in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh on August 26, 2026.

According to reports, unidentified assailants opened fire at Baliyan as he was leaving the gym. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed for medical treatment, but succumbed to his injuries.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining CCTV footage to identify the attackers and establish the motive behind the killing.

Baliyan, a native of Shamli, had gained popularity through Haryanvi music and YouTube. His work had earned him a substantial following among fans of regional music.

Reports of a social-media post allegedly claiming responsibility for the killing have also surfaced, but authorities are verifying its authenticity.

Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
