Bhaluka Road, West Bengal — May 23, 2025:
As part of the ongoing Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, renovation work at Bhaluka Road Railway Station has begun in full swing. On Friday morning, JCB machines were seen bulldozing temporary shops and structures that had come up illegally on railway land near the station premises.

Railway officials, accompanied by local police, carried out the eviction drive to clear the area for upcoming infrastructure upgrades. The initiative is part of the central government’s ambitious plan to modernize railway stations across the country with improved passenger amenities, better connectivity, and enhanced aesthetics.

The Bhaluka Road station is among several chosen under the Amrit Bharat initiative aimed at transforming small and medium stations into modern, efficient transit hubs.
