From DPS Bhilai to National Champions: The Story of Swastra+.
Three students from DPS Bhilai recently proved that age is no barrier to solving real-world problems. Krishang Saharia (12E), Aaradhy Tiwari (12A), and Priyanshu Sahu (12F) emerged as the winners of the National AI Hackathon organized by Master’s Union. Their victory was a massive undertaking, as they stood first among more than 5,000 competing teams from every corner of India, eventually securing a ₹3 lakh prize for their innovation.
The journey began in October 2025, when Krishang first discovered the competition and brought the team together. What followed was months of intense work and steady progression. They first broke into the top 150 during Round 1, and later fought their way into the elite top 14 in Round 2 by refining their pitch and building out the core of their idea. The path led them to the Grand Finals in Gurgaon, where they faced a grueling two-day evaluation by industry experts. Despite the pressure, their technical skill and vision carried them to the top spot.
Their winning project is called _Swastra+,_ built under their personal mission of "haathon mei hospital," which translates to "a mini hospital in your hands." The team created the platform with a specific focus on rural healthcare, aiming to make life-saving medical services both accessible and affordable. By bridging the gap between remote villages and modern medicine, Swastra+ seeks to provide early diagnoses that can prevent the tragic, avoidable deaths that often occur when professional care is out of reach.
