​The Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa has officially released the schedule for the B.C. Election 2026. If you are an advocate practicing in these regions, mark your calendars!

​📅 Key Dates to Remember:
​Feb 19: Publication of Final Electoral Rolls
​Feb 26: Deadline for Filing Nominations
​Mar 02 – 04: Withdrawal of Candidature
​Mar 24: ELECTION DAY (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

​Counting: Starts 7 days after voting.

​📍 Voting Locations:
​Elections will be held at all Courts across:
​Mumbai
​All Districts & Talukas in Maharashtra and Goa
​Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu

​💡 Notable Highlights:
​Women’s Representation: Per Supreme Court directions, 30% of seats are reserved for women (2/3rd elected, 1/3rd co-opted).

Today, the Bombay Bar Association successfully hosted the Fali Nariman Memorial Lecture at the historic Convocation Hall, University of Mumbai.

​It was a privilege to host the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Mr. Justice Surya Kant, who delivered a profound lecture on "The Sentinel on Qui Vive: Article 226 as the Guardian of Access to Justice".

​The session, presided over by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, Mr. Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, offered invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of constitutional remedies and the judiciary's role as a protector of citizens' rights.
