Pune’s Arishka Laddha captivated the nation when, at the age of six, she achieved the remarkable feat of reaching the Mount Everest Base Camp (EBC), becoming the youngest Indian girl to successfully complete the arduous trek. Accompanied by her mother, Dimple Laddha, Arishka successfully completed the 130-kilometer round trip expedition to the base camp, situated at an altitude exceeding 17,500 feet (5,364 meters). The journey, which took 15 days, required Arishka to endure extreme cold, with temperatures plummeting as low as -17°C, necessitating multiple layers of clothing. Despite cautions from experts regarding the physical demands on such a young child, Arishka’s mother noted the girl's active lifestyle, which included frequent treks to local forts around Pune, prepared her for the challenge. While the record is frequently updated by younger achievers, Arishka's unwavering spirit and ambition, including her stated wish to eventually conquer the summit itself, established her as an incredible inspiration for young adventurers.

On screen, he may play the tough guy — the fighter, the villain, the man everyone fears.
But off screen? He carries his elderly mother on his back so she can enjoy the beach she always dreamed of seeing.

This picture reveals the truth behind every strong man — a heart full of love and respect.
Huge respect to Pradeep Kabra for showing that true heroism begins at home. 🙏❤️

What are the chances that Prime Minister Narendra Modi could return for a historic fourth term?

Elections depend on many factors — public mood, party performance, the strength of the opposition, economic conditions, and national issues at that time. But one thing is clear: few leaders generate as much debate, support, and curiosity as Modi does.

Whether people see him as a symbol of strong leadership or believe 2029 will bring a new political wave, this question sparks opinions everywhere — from chai stalls to social media timelines.

During President Vladimir Putin’s high-profile visit to New Delhi, PM Narendra Modi presented him with a special Russian-language edition of the Bhagavad Gita, a gesture that immediately became one of the most talked-about moments of the summit. This wasn’t an ordinary book. It was a carefully curated edition translated specifically for Russian readers, reflecting India’s deep cultural outreach and the spiritual bridge that has connected the two nations for decades.

The Bhagavad Gita, India’s timeless scripture, is respected globally for its universal message of duty, wisdom and inner strength. By gifting a Russian translation, PM Modi sent a powerful reminder that India’s influence doesn’t rest only on defence deals or strategic partnerships, but also on the soft power of its ancient knowledge. The Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) played a key role in bringing this edition to life, ensuring that the teachings of Krishna resonate clearly for Russia’s people, scholars and spiritual seekers.

For Putin, who has publicly expressed admiration for Indian culture in the past, this gift carried symbolic depth. It showcased India’s civilizational confidence and signaled that the India–Russia partnership extends far beyond geopolitics, rooted in history, philosophical exchange and mutual respect. At a time when global diplomacy often revolves around pressure and power play, this moment stood out as a reminder that cultural diplomacy can be just as impactful as any formal agreement.

The gift of the Gita became a highlight of the visit, capturing international attention and reinforcing India’s message to the world: when we welcome a friend, we share not just hospitality, but the wisdom that has shaped our civilization for thousands of years. ✨

In a heart-touching act of generosity and lifelong service, renowned gynaecologist Dr. K. Laxmi Bai has donated her entire life savings of ₹3.4 crore to AIIMS Bhubaneswar to support the establishment of a dedicated women’s cancer care programme. This remarkable announcement came just days before she celebrated her 100th birthday on December 5, 2025, making her gesture even more meaningful. 🌟❤️ A pioneering medical professional, Dr. Laxmi Bai was part of the first MBBS batch at SCB Medical College in 1945 and spent more than fifty years serving women’s health with commitment, empathy, and modesty, eventually retiring as a Professor at MKCG Medical College in 1986. Throughout her career, she witnessed many poor women lose their lives to cancer simply because they lacked access to timely treatment — an experience that left a deep impact on her and inspired this powerful donation. With her contribution, she hopes to create a strong Gynaecological Oncology Programme that will train future doctors and give thousands of women a fighting chance. Living simply and serving quietly, Dr. Laxmi Bai has shown that true greatness lies not in wealth, but in the compassion we extend to others. Her legacy will continue to shine as a beacon of kindness and humanity. ✨💛

In the wake of the recent terrrist attck in India, an old but fiery quote by Russian President Vladimir Putin has exploded across social media once again. His words —
“To forgive the terrorists is up to God, but to send them to Him is up to me.”
— have resurfaced with a force that mirrors the nation’s grief and anger.

Though the quote isn’t new, its timing has made it feel sharper than ever. Millions online are sharing it as a symbol of the decisive, no-nonsense action they want to see. The line reflects a mood that is raw, emotional, and hungry for justice.

Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook are now filled with posts, edits, reels, and graphics featuring the quote — turning it into the unofficial voice of public sentiment.

In moments of pain, some words become more than quotes…
They become a collective emotion.

When we talk about directors who redefine cinema, Zack Snyder — the genius behind 300, Man of Steel, and Justice League — stands tall among the greats. But what many don’t know is that this master storyteller has a deep admiration for Indian mythology, especially the Mahabharata! 🙌

In a candid Reddit discussion, Snyder revealed that he’s a “big fan of the Mahabharata”, calling it “the greatest epic ever written.” For him, it isn’t just a mythological story — it’s an untamed universe of gods, warriors, destiny, and morality that could rival any cinematic universe ever made. 🎬⚔️

Snyder even mentioned that if he ever got the chance, he’d love to bring this epic to life on screen — though he humbly admitted that its scale, depth, and complexity would be a monumental challenge for any filmmaker. Imagine Snyder’s grand visuals, slow-motion battle sequences, and dark emotional tones set against the saga of Kurukshetra — it would be nothing short of cinematic mythology reborn! 💥

Adding a beautiful connection to India, actress Huma Qureshi once gifted Snyder a copy of the Bhagavad Gita during the promotions of Army of the Dead. The gesture was even more symbolic since one of the main characters in that film was named Geeta — a subtle nod to India’s spiritual heritage. 🙏📖

With his signature style and love for storytelling that blends gods and men, light and shadow, Zack Snyder’s fascination with the Mahabharata feels destined. Who knows — maybe one day, we’ll see Krishna, Arjuna, and the Pandavas brought to life through the lens of the man who made gods walk among us. 🌌

The inspiring legacy of Kanishka Gaud, a committed 19-year-old who dreamed of serving her country through the National Defence Academy (NDA), continues to touch countless hearts through the lives she saved. A resident of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, Kanishka was known for her discipline, her love for fitness, and her strong patriotic spirit. But her bright future was tragically cut short when she succumbed to serious injuries from a road accident.

In their moment of unimaginable grief, her family made a profoundly courageous and compassionate decision — they chose to donate her organs so others could live. Through this noble act, Kanishka’s kidneys, liver, heart, and corneas were successfully transplanted, granting life to five people and restoring vision to two. In a way, she fulfilled her dream of service, not through a uniform, but through humanity.

Her family hopes that Kanishka’s final act of kindness will inspire many more people to understand the life-transforming impact of organ donation. Her story stands as a powerful reminder that true service to the nation can take many forms — and sometimes, it is a single act of compassion that defines a hero.

PETA India has named Kolkata as India’s most vegan-friendly city of 2025, and the announcement has left many pleasantly surprised. After all, the city is famous for its fish curries, kosha mangsho, and rich non-vegetarian heritage. But behind this reputation lies a deeper truth: plant-based eating has always been an effortless part of Bengali cuisine.
From aloo posto, cholar dal, and tok dal to tomato–khejur chutney, shukto, and the city’s iconic puchka, Kolkata’s everyday plates prove that flavour has never depended on animal products. 🌱✨
What truly pushed Kolkata to the top, however, is the city’s booming vegan movement. Cafés, restaurants, and bakeries are rapidly reinventing classics with plant-based ingredients — dairy-free desserts, vegan sandesh, oat-milk coffees, mock-meat rolls, and fully vegan menus at places like Burma Burma, The Flaming Bowl, and new-age vegan bakeries. Online stores offering vegan groceries and cruelty-free alternatives have encouraged thousands to cook plant-based at home.
And the shift goes beyond food.
Kolkata is fast becoming a hub for vegan fashion, plant-based leather brands, animal welfare initiatives, and consciousness-driven events, including themed Durga Puja installations promoting compassion.
According to PETA India, Kolkata stands out because it shows how a city can preserve its heritage yet evolve toward a kinder, more sustainable future — inspiring the rest of the country to do the same.
