Big Betrayal: The NEET paper leak in India is a shocking case of corruption and immoral behavior that also shows the extent of greed. Over 2.2 million students appear in the exam for admission to medical courses.

But a botany teacher Manisha Mandhare along with other suspects, leaked the paper, says the investigating agency. The role of other suspects include Manisha Waghmare, PVR Kulkarni and half-a-dozen persons, is under investigation.

The manner in which the teachers and others leaked the paper, has raised a question mark on the entire process. National Test Agency (NTA) conducts the exam.

Students who were preparing for the exam and were hoping to crack it, are in a state of shock. Some of the aspirants also died by su***de after the paper leak and cancellation of the exam, was announced.

Year after year, such paper leaks have caused a dent in the credibility of the agencies that conduct the examination. Those who take oath of secrecy and have an important role, get involved in paper leak, due to greed. Is there a solution?

Ritik Mishra is no more. He just gave up. The body was found in his house in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. He had appeared in NEET, one of the toughest exams and was hopeful of his success.

Like many other young students who worked hard, studied for months but when the paper is leaked and the exam is cancelled, their hopes are dashed.

Apparently, he couldn't bear to see all his effort go in vain. It's tragic if youth take such an extreme step. The family is distraught, devastated.

The mafia that is involved in question paper leak, must be dealt with sternly. This must not happen. Parents need to sensitize children.

The students are under pressure, agreed. But they must be told that an examination is not the ultimate reward in life and there can be more options.

Life is important. The family suffers after a youth takes such a step. NEET is one of the toughest exams in the world and over two million students appear in it for selection in medical courses in India.

Will tough action be taken against those who are involved in breaking the trust of students? Focus on the gangs and the nexus that is responsible for paper leaks.

The masterminds must not be allowed to get away

The right-wing vigilantism has reached a stage where they carry out attacks, take law in own hands and subvert authority of the state. Bajrang Dal has been involved in parallel policing.

Such extremist groups are actually causing immense harm to the nation. If a person finds something wrong or suspicion, then plaint has to be made to police.

Authorities take action, cops examine and if they register case, later judiciary decides. Don't turn country into a banana republic where any goon can torture, target other(s).

Either it's barging into a hotel room, applying cow dung & ink on the youth's face and assaulting him in or forcing a family to throw out a tenant because of his religion in other state, that's a mockery of law-and-order.

Terror on streets must stop. From Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh to Dehradun in Uttarakhand, these incidents show a total lack of regard for the authority of the wings of the State.

The groups that harm law-and-order situation & conduct 'parallel policing' need to be dealt with sternly. Just carrying a Saffron cloth doesn't give license to anyone to intervene with the system.

Militant groups that are involved in spreading terror on the streets, are doing disservice to the nation. They claim to be nationalists, but actually weaken the state.

WORRYING. Just a few days ago, there was a particular day, when all the top 50 hottest cities in the world, were in India.

Clearly, that's the price of apathy towards environment that we are going to pay. The unchecked tree felling, the loss of green cover, extreme indifference and lack of seriousness in saving the natural ecosystem, is taking the country towards an environmental disaster.

The Delhi police have arrested three suspected operatives from Madhya Pradesh. The trio--Anmol, Rajvir and Vivek, were allegedly in touch with Pakistan's ISI and had been planning to attack a historic temple, an army camp & a hotel on Delhi-Sonipat highway.

After the child went missing from home, the family members and locals kept on searching every nook and corner.

The father suspected kidnapping for ransom and that 'outsiders' in the area may have come and taken the son away. Locals talked about a suspicious vehicle or an unidentified man walking in area.

But, ultimately it was found that the person who was close and trying to search, was involved in the ghastly crime. The scale of brutality was shocking.

It was due to an old dispute in the family and the grievance kept in heart that the child lost life to the woman whom he called 'Tai'. She hit the child's head repeatedly against stone and then buried the body under the husk.

Often, those are close are more jealous or nurture a feeling in their heart while the natural response is that someone other or stranger may have committed the act.

This case had got attention as it concerned a child. Search operations were conducted. It was when police started probe that the case was solved.

The judge Aman Kumar Sharma dispensed justice but couldn't get it for himself. He couldn't deal with the alleged harassment and mental torture at home & took the extreme step.

The robes of justice and the wall of silence around the incident, that how he got so exasperated due to sustained domestic harassment, have raised serious questions.

Either it's a woman or a man, anyone can be a victim of harassment. Sharma made a call to his father in Alwar and told him that he had it enough.

On May 3, he was brought to hospital. His father says that his son told him that he was distressed and it was difficult for him to continue living.

By the time, the father reached Delhi, it was too late. Conflict with wife and her sister's interference, were said to be the reason for the turmoil in the household.

In the West Bengal election, lot of people voted in a particular way because the sense of fear was instilled in them that other group will outgrow or take over resources and is being pampered.

That's how fear works. For one group, it is this fear. For other group, the fear is that if they didn't keep a party in power, the next party will take over and harass or target them.

The real independent man is the one who is never fooled or who has learnt from his mistakes. One who is neither paranoid, nor obsessed, but is completely having his sight at this mission.

The aim is to be fearless, not willing to act as a tool for politicians.

The cheap thought that the 'other' is getting more resources & turning strong. It's ideal for politicians. But in the long run, state & citizens suffer.

A sovereign man is one who breaks the barrier and moves past this narrow system to grow out and not get confined in these clearly designed traps for the mind.

How 'emotion' destroys a man and makes him a tool in politicians' hands. People consider 'group interest' as own interest and thus the sentiment or emotion makes them choose sides, take decisions.

Fifteen or twenty years later, many realize that the political parties they fought for, were never truly for them and that they had spent years, wasting own energy.

The feeling of 'collective' benefit or strength of entire majority or minority is not the absolute truth. It brings a feeling of elation but that's for those who haven't got enough in life & get happy easily.

Ultimately, each person is alone and one's failure in life or a certain progress is personal. Hence, falling for emotion and supporting the parties, ends up hurting in the long run.

Politics gives a sense of power. But is it worth it? Or it takes you down a road that ends up weakening you! Should a man simply focus on improving his and her lot, own family, rather than falling for politicians' promises!

It doesn't mean that politics should be rejected. But that one must not get brainwashed and spend own energies for the sake of those who use citizens for a ride.

Not everybody is absolute fool or fully intelligent. Some are lucky and some don't get enough options. But the sense of collective strength is a chimera. It makes a person feel stronger.

Is sentiment enough run a life. Does it make a person prosperous, his family wealthy and ensures that he would live his life comfortably in future.

The feeling and the imagination that everyone who is 'like us' or belongs to 'our group or community' must have a common interest and similar trajectory in life, is far-fetched.

Truly independent and far-sighted men look beyond this obsession and the pettiness. They aim right, work for themselves and don't get befooled.

SUMMARY: The urge for 'community' interest is about sentiment--fear or hope. That our group should dominate or shouldn't suffer.

It is understandable that more people fall for it, quickly. That's a sure-shot formula. In a way, it's good also. See people, understand them, but always chart your own course.

In the West Bengal election, lot of people voted in a particular way because the sense of fear was instilled in them that other group will outgrow or take over resources and is being pampered.
