Hyundai records highest-ever CNG car sales in October 2024

In October, nearly 40 percent of Exter’s sales came from the CNG variants. The contribution of CNG-powered vehicles to Hyundai Motor India’s overall sales hit a record 14.9 percent in October on the back of strong demand in that segment and the company’s strong portfolio of entry-level CNG models.

The 2025 Ford Everest is expected to be available in late 2024 or early 2025, with pre-orders starting in late 2024. However, Ford has not yet confirmed this information.
The Ford Everest is a family SUV that is already available in several Southeast Asian markets. It is expected to be launched in India as a direct import, followed by a CKD assembly to reduce costs.

Discounts come as Diwali gift as auto makers try to drive sales.

The sudden slowdown in the car industry has meant that the discounts are not just in mere thousands, but hitting multiple lakhs of rupees on models ranging from companies like Maruti Suzuki, Honda, JSW MG, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors to luxury makers like Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

It's not just the regular models that are on heavy sale. Some of the so-perceived blockbusters like Toyota Innova Hycross and Mahindra 3-door Thar have also come into discounts. The Hycross, which had long enjoyed a star status since its launch with a 'strong hybrid' version, is now facing the heat due to the slowdown as it now comes with a discount beginning Rs 1.5 lakh, according to data compiled by research firm Jato Dynamics.

Industry analysts say that the discounts will only get deeper post Diwali when dealers and companies will engage in 'desperate measures' to clear up idle inventories.

New Maruti Dzire launch date for India confirmed!

Dzire prices will be revealed on 11 November, to receive a segment-first electric sunroof.
Maruti Suzuki is all set to finally launch the new-gen Dzire in the country on 11 November. The fourth generation of the sub-four-metre sedan will rival the likes of the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and the Honda Amaze.
In terms of exterior design, the 2024 Dzire will get a set of new bumpers, fresh grille with horizontal slats, new LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, LED fog lights, dual-tone alloy wheels, and new boxy LED taillights.

Jeep Meridian facelift launched at Rs 24.99 lakh

Meridian facelift is now available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. Jeep has launched the Meridian facelift in India at an introductory starting price of Rs 24.99 lakh, ex-showroom, India. Unlike its predecessor, the updated Meridian comes in 5-seater and 7-seater configurations, which has helped bring down the starting price by a whopping Rs 6.24 lakh. For reference, prices for the pre-facelift Meridian started at Rs 31.23 lakh. Bookings for the new Meridian are already underway and deliveries will begin by the end of this month.

TOYOTA DEVELOPING MINI FORTUNER TO RIVAL SCORPIO, ROX..

Toyota’s new monocoque-based 4x4 SUV will fill the gap between the Fortuner and Hyryder. While exact powertrain options are unclear, this all-new monocoque-based SUV is expected to come with pure petrol and strong hybrid options to start with, and an all-electric variant could also be a possibility in the future. The petrol-hybrid combination would be similar to the one found in the Innova Hycross – a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine coupled with a strong hybrid system. A diesel version seems unlikely.
