Exploring Herbal Wound Healing in Diabetic Conditions

A study evaluated the wound-healing potential of Hydnocarpus wightiana seed extract in alloxan-induced diabetic rats. Using excision and incision wound models, the study found that 4% w/w ethanolic extract ointment demonstrated better and faster wound healing compared with 1% and 2% formulations.

A computational study used homology modelling, molecular docking, ADMET analysis, and molecular dynamics simulations to identify potential natural inhibitors of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. Among the compounds screened, Tetrandrine (L1) showed the strongest binding affinity and a stable interaction with the spike protein, highlighting its potential as a candidate for further antiviral drug-development research.
