B/o Rama delivered via NVD. O/E baby was found to be having defect in anterior abdominal wall
right to the umbilical ring, herniation of intestine along with liver and lack of membranes
covering the defect, diagnosis of Gastroschisis considered.
Baby was admitted to NICU, patient attendants were counselled regarding diagnosis and
potential complications. Baby underwent emergency surgical intervention in the form of
repositioning of exposed intestine and other contents into abdominal cavity followed by closure.
Post operatively baby on ventilator for 5 days, received TPN for 12 days. Feeding introduced on..
