Dr. Jitendra Singh, MLA Satish Sharma and MP Jugal Kishore meet Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Discuss Widening of Crucial Dhar Road
New Delhi, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State along with MLA Satish Sharma from Billawar, and MP Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma, met with Defence Minister Sh. Rajnath Singh in Delhi to discuss the long-pending demand for widening the strategic Dhar road, which spans 133 kilometers and plays a vital role in connecting the region.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the widening of the Dhar road is not just a matter of infrastructure development, but also a question of national security. This strategic road provides connectivity to our border areas and facilitates the movement of our security forces.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma said that widening of Dhar road will have a great impact on the socio-economic development of the region.
MLA Satish Sharma stated that the Dhar road is a lifeline for our people, facilitating economic growth, trade, and commerce in the region. Its widening is crucial for enhancing connectivity, promoting tourism, and ensuring the overall development of our area. I am grateful to Defence Minister Sh. Rajnath Singh for giving us a patient hearing and assuring us of his support in this matter. We are confident that his intervention will expedite the project and bring relief to our people.
Defence Minister Sh. Rajnath Singh assured that the widening of the Dhar road will be considered on priority. We will take on board the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to ensure that the project is initiated in a time-bound manner. The Modi government is committed to developing the infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir, and this project is an important part of that initiative. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure that this project is completed efficiently and effectively, bringing relief and prosperity to the people of the region.
