This afternoon, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, a debate competition between the different grade levels was held in the assembly hall of Ngagyur Palyul Choekhorling Shedra, with teachers and students gathered together.

Today, the eighth and ninth-grade students presented their debates. The first topic, based on Madhyamakālaṃkāra (Ornament of the Middle Way), focused on the views of the Svātantrika and Prāsaṅgika schools. The second topic, based on Uttaratantra (The Sublime Continuum), focused on the Four Noble Truths.

In addition, the eighth- and ninth-grade students also took part in the formal debate examination (dam bca’).

Today, the sixth- and seventh-year students engaged in debate. The topic for the sixth year was drawn from The Ornament of Clear Realization (Abhisamayālaṅkāra), focusing on the Four Noble Truths. The seventh-year students debated the Two Truths, based on The Introduction to the Middle Way (Madhyamakāvatāra).

In addition, the sixth- and seventh-year students also took part in their respective final examinations (dam bca’).
